Had a dream where I had to play Leffen in tournament at a national, and I got off to a good start so he ran away... like irl. I then learned irl camping was legal so I started running through the venue shouting “WHERE’S LEFFEN” and it became the meme of the tournament lmfao
Where’s the support group for people who play competitive smash and no longer enjoy single player games the way they used to :( every time I think of playing more Link’s Awakening it feels like a chore, and I know it’s not the games fault 😭
I know Olimar dittos are pretty wild looking, but I’m hoping viewers watch w/ an open mind. Beneath what looks like Cstick/sideB mashing is actually a lot of depth in this MU. Knowing which lineups beat other lineups is important. Oli dealing with his own range is intriguing too
Too many people say “I’m playing well/bad today” without being able to articulate specifically why; they usually are basing this off the result of a handful of friendlies. Their “well/bad” conclusion tends to ignore the influence of their opponent and MU
Back when people complained about MK in Brawl, the top MKs started winning tournaments with secondaries (unless I was there 😜)
Interesting to see history repeat itself before our eyes
Our subconscious is so weird, I wish you guys knew how real this felt when it happened, I couldn’t believe I was getting bullshitted by such a terrible rule LOL
When you guys study matches, what do you look for?
What I look for:
-watching match from opponent perspective
-paying attention to how a player gets off the ledge
-how a certain move is used, or not used
-how people land
What other studying techniques are out there?
I know I’m in the minority, but I’m going to forever be sad that Brawl is not only dead, but frowned upon. It’s no ones fault really but just bums me out that interest in the game is gone. It’s the only Smash game I feel truly in tune with.
I def like Smash 4
But I love Brawl

Kids don't work on a workground; they play on a playground.
Similarly, we don't work Smash; we play Smash.
The only real reason you're upset with your play is you're treating it like work
Now go play yo
Dang so no outrage over 3 Corrins in top 8? Same amount of a Corrins in top 8 as there were Steves in top 64 (including Miya), where are all the people so passionate about competitive integrity?
I am in love with how much rolling gets blown up. It's just enough of a commitment that if nervous habits start to appear you're gonna pay for it
It seems like this game is striking a good balance where you can't autopilot against anyone, but staying focused is heavily rewarded
In this next era I’m hoping we’re more gentle towards people making mistakes
As a community we’re sometimes more interested in denouncing behaviors than genuinely trying to help others learn
In turn people are afraid to admit to mistakes out of fear of ridicule
Be nice plz :)
A big reason Melee and Brawl were at odds back in the day was because both sides subconsciously felt they were competing for resources, so they talked mad shit about each other
The games may be competition, but the growth of our scenes is not. Please be kind
Smash players: please do not ask into a 3 person rotation when almost every surrounding TV has 2 people. This has already happened twice while warming up at MSM lol
The production of this tournament from
@2GGaming
is fantastic. The player interviews after are an excellent touch, really gives the audience a chance to learn about the players.
@VikkiKitty_
