@danprimack Add that to the trends of GP consolidation and AI replacing grunt work… perhaps this will encourage more people to pursue entrepreneurship? Curious what others think

@tolstoybb First they came for the shrimp treadmill, and I did not speak out - because I was not a shrimp. Then they came for Politico Pro, and I did not speak out - because I was not a subscriber. Then they came for Bloomberg Terminals - and there was no one left to speak out for me.

@BasedSavannah @samstein @politico Payments to Fox News also skyrocketed during the Biden Administration. Why are we focusing on news subscriptions and not fraudulent PPP loans like “Dodge Hellcat LLC” etc??? This is a distraction from the real grift imo

@LivesayChris @TJenkinsTampa @krassenstein @KettlebellDan Do you have anything to back up this claim? I don’t know about Politico Pro specifically, but there are plenty of software products with government versions that have enhanced privacy/security (Zoom for example)

@LivesayChris @TJenkinsTampa @krassenstein @KettlebellDan Media companies provide services that many organizations need to compete - the US government is no exception. The US government buys services from Fox News and Bloomberg, too. I don’t want our civil servants to be at an information disadvantage. Neither should you.

@LivesayChris @TJenkinsTampa @krassenstein @KettlebellDan It’s not a contract service it’s an online software product that anyone can purchase. Good friend is a lobbyist and says he uses it every day (paid for by his job)

@JVWJWC @Ruuu_Fiii_Oooo @BasedSavannah @ByronTau @AP Have you ever used a Bloomberg Terminal? Most people aren’t using it for ‘advanced financial modeling in real time’ - more like idea generation, research and communicating with other industry participants.

Re A: the fact that it’s $25k per year for one person’s Bloomberg Anywhere just shows that there is job-specific software that costs >$10k per user, so why can’t Politico Pro? B: Picture below is government awards to News Corporation (Fox News). Spending surged during Dem admin - so the trend you see in Politico payments is reflected for conservative news too. Don’t get me wrong, I think spending is out of control - but I think all the focus on Politico Pro subscriptions is a distraction from finding the real corruption.

@CryptoLolem @buyers2buyers @Austen Here you are - News Corporation is the parent company of Fox News (look up the address, it’s the Fox News building in NYC)

@BasedSavannah @ByronTau @AP I don’t think this is that crazy - a Bloomberg Terminal subscription costs $25,000 per user per year, and oil&gas/banks/investment firms buy them for new employees barely out of college.
