When I was little, around 1973, I was at Montebello Park for an event. I went to go wash my hands and there were no towels so I was flicking my hands to get the water off. I guess some water got on a woman and she slapped me so hard I fell over. My parents saw this happen. Mum

Vaxxed, wore masks as I'm high risk, so is my mother.
She got it in the hospital when she broke her foot and ankle.
I had it from December to April (sure felt it was that long.) I have Long Covid still and probably will forever.
I will continue to vaxx.
I will continue to mask.

What others consider "basic necessities".
A place to call home.
Food.
Proper clothes.
Hygiene products.
Sadly, some of my friends can't even afford that.
And what's REALLY sad is that some people think this is ok.

Was told ODSP would cover a wig with Rx. Called ODSP. Told "Either we'll pay or OW will." Sent in estimates. ODSP says "Not chemo related? Nope." OW's answer? "Wear a hat." Who's paying for my $1000 wig? My senior citizen mother.

I have to say the amount of solidarity & support I have seen the last few days from one PWD to another is heartwarming. We have never been so under attack as we have in the last week and to see one jump to support another is outstanding. I'm proud to be part of our community.
