“He is a fierce competitor” How? Why? Because he puts up nice offensive numbers. Let’s stop calling great individually skilled players who may put up good offensive numbers - let’s stop calling them dawgs or competitors Sometimes, they are just that, good offensive players who have worked hard on their game & they are motivated to fill the stat sheet When the lights come, and they don’t play defense or hustle/fight for the 50/50 ball, they aren’t a competitor. They aren’t really about winning. They like the idea of winning but reality is if team loses, and they get theirs or they get paid, they are good Scorers = doesn’t mean competitors Real competitors do what their team needs of them. Sometimes scoring, always giving great effort, leading, pulling others along with them
