I hate sharing horrific situations like this but another v young chest pain patient told to wait 3hrs for an ambulance. Decided to make their own way to A&E but sadly didn’t survive the cardiac arrest in their car. NHS isn’t crumbling; it’s crumbled already

Five years of medical school costing ~£100,000 and this was my payslip after nearly one year of working in the NHS as a doctor. This is why we are striking. How can you survive on this whilst people’s lives are in your hands daily AND you’re understaffed?

32k is a terrible wage, especially for families. That's £2200 monthly WITHOUT a student loan. Average rent/mortgage is £1200 and £400 for bills. That's £600 for EVERYTHING ELSE, including groceries.

Why are people so pressed about me saying £32k isn't a terrible wage. Yes doctors deserve more for the length of training, skill and stress of the job BUT my point was you can live on £32k, and many families live on a lot less.

Many argue that striking is dangerous due to less staff, with concerns of patient safety. Where is this concern of patient safety for the other 362 days of the year? Simple maths would suggest 72hr walkout is almost nothing in comparison. NOT striking is more dangerous.

Hi Isheverything, Coming from someone who stammers, we have heard this dry banter over a million times. Wouldn’t be surprised if you used this every week as a desperate attempt to get laughs. Stick to judging people working in Tesco. Regards

I hope people are opening their eyes to how this Labour party will govern Tactical masterclass announcing "pay rises" for public sector workers at the same time they find a £20bn hole in public finances 100% intentional to get people to turn against us

Unfortunately many people HAVE to work that much to provide for themselves/family/loved ones. Not everyone has the luxury of “working smart”

I’m not impressed when people say they have 3 jobs or they work 90 hours a week. Idk who glorified working yourself to death; I’m impressed by people who work smart and still make time to do the things they love, enjoy life. Money isn’t everything…

Just a reminder that the GMC spent over £55 million last year on investigation complaints against doctors. And guess where did the majority of that money come from? Doctors of course
