Sugawara is one of the biggest clutch characters for Karasuno and is one of the main reasons why Kageyama developed so much. Without him, Karasuno loses their mental backbone and stability in numerous ways.
Name a film, preferably newish, that, while widely considered great, has you itching to get on your soapbox and shouting "DO YOU ALL REALIZE HOW GREAT THIS IS? WE NEED TO BE TALKING ABOUT HOW GREAT THIS IS. ALL. THE. TIME."
Yes, I just rewatched Phantom Thread.
Speaking only facts, better in every department (story, characters definitely, music, animation and art)
Pacing and dialogue too. Don’t let s4 manga readers fool you it’s great but it aint the best thing in fiction for anything
The way current anitwt approaches media consumption, reviews, ratings and discourse here is beyond terrible. Seeing series I love be treated so dispassionately, as if they’re just things to checklist just to have a provocative opinion on it to feel involved is a mood killer.
Oh my God!! What??? This was insane. The sexual chemistry was electrifying. Mike and Josh are incredible. Zendaya easily gives her best performance. She served so hard I’m actually shocked.
The tennis match left me on the edge of my seat. The whole film was pure intense passion
Scar’s role and response to this whole conflict and how Amestrians perceived his retaliation as “terrorism” for wanting justice for his people’s deaths is so disturbingly relevant.
It’s sad that people are scared to believe or say with confidence that their favourite is the best thing they ever seen. They’re worried about invalidation by others. I call it cowardice and having insecurities.
I genuinely cannot believe what I just watched. Unbelievable experience. Unbelievable film.
If you thought Into the Spider-Verse was special this just blows it out of the water with ease. I have no idea how this trilogy will end after that cliffhanger…
A Happy Ending ain’t generic or wrong. As long as it fulfills the story’s purpose with a fitting conclusion thematically/narratively and character wise, a happy ending is just as powerful and good as a sad ending.
Really dislike this idea that a character needs to consistently stay at this newly developed state & form or the development is suddenly invalid or shafted. It’s as if they don’t realise people have the tendency to fall back into old habits & being inconsistent is a normal trait.
I love HxH but come on. No way are HxH girls better than FMA girls. You’re comparing a fully developed female cast with individually rich character arcs to minor side characters that are mainly used as a dynamic. FMA girls also look way better too man 💀
Really read all of Vagabond in a day. Most I ever binged (37 Vols). Exhausted to say the least but was worth it. Inoue poured his heart out to craft such a wonderful, moving story depicting the life of a man trying to find value in life and understand the meaning of true strength
I loved Kinds of Kindness. Yorgos Lanthimos joins Francis Ford Coppola company in delivering the most provocative, absurd film of the festival so far. A bold return to his Greek wave roots and the reverse of Poor Things
This take is wrong on many levels. Edward is definitely one of the best parts of FMA, essentially the core to what makes the story special. He’s a product of his own personal tragedy and there are much deeper parts to his personality & character if one were to give him a chance.
Being against killing is what makes Ed so much better. Given the context of his past and what happened to his mom, brother and his own body, it makes complete sense narratively and literally for him to have this moral code. It’s not just there for the sake of it, nuance exists.
It fucking bothers me when people resort to mental illness labelling for anything they deem annoying, unappealing, unfamiliar in personality or anything they disagree with. How can one have such a big platform and be this careless with such a sensitive term jfc
