@Whydowecare007 @PhilipBLee @AlexO340781617 @elonmusk I'm pretty sure the person you are responding to is just trolling

@AustinCooper90 @atrupar I get it, but like Bernie says, it's troubling as AN APPLICANT to never have seen those studies. A more acceptable response than he gave would be him saying he saw studies saying otherwise. I am okay with him keeping an open mind. I'm not okay with him being underqualified

@TumbleweedChase @Johncodemode You are actually pretty right about this but it's not black and white. Even for people who don't have high paying jobs, standards here are better. But on the lower end of it, we have a lot more homelessness. Whereas in China you live in much smaller spaces like coffine homes

@LilContrarian @Pinko69420 That is kinda true although the numbers look off. Chinese home ownership is kinda like a long lease. So, iirc it doesn't really build generational wealth the same way American home ownership does. All land is 100% owned by the government

@NewGooseShoes @Pinko69420 That sounds bad but the COL in many Chinese communities are a lot lower as well. As for less Chinese own homes, yes and no. I think like 80% has some kind of leasehold thing where they own the dwelling but gov owns all the land.

@katchoopie_ @kaiza_bull @Pinko69420 Yea the person who you are responding to has no idea how housing works in China or in the US. Most Chinese ownership is some kind of lease where the government owns all of the land. As you mentioned, estate planning dictates who the house goes to. And property taxes are meh

@thinking_panda In a sense we did have a vote on this. We voted in representatives into Congress that we believed were the best person for the job and represented our values. Unfortunately in this one particular case, this was how they voted on our behalf

@ansphn @JessicaLBurbank I wouldn't say that's a China thing. Europe and Japan has no tips either

@ChrisFromJerse1 @Ciraph_ @TheWhiskyDaddy @davenewworld_2 If we are worried about work devices, that can be locked. If we are worried about their personal devices well, I can still go through different routes to get TikTok on my phone. Or I guess now RedNote directly from the app store

@ChrisFromJerse1 @davenewworld_2 No, while TikTok definitely would be the worst if the gov is that concerned about national security, you can use that same logic about any new Chinese app that pops up. But it's only banning TikTok. This is just removal of competition with other US owned social media

@timjcarden @JosephAmazing14 I feel like that is a super dated talking point. Android was never complicated but it was certainly not user friendly. In at least the last decade, that's changed

@2Strong2Silence Because Bass has bipartisan hate and Trump only has from us on the left. His cult isn't going to complain
