Moments like this make me so proud of Ghana. It’s been a difficult few years with the economy suffering and our currency depreciating to unprecedented lows. However our democracy is real. The opposition won a resounding victory and the incumbents bowed out gracefully. Ghana WINS!

Today I am speaking at the @oxfordnanopore Gulf summit in Dubai about the groundbreaking work @YemaachiBio is doing in partnership with our clinical colleagues to leverage long read sequencing to improve outcomes in cancer in Ghana and across Africa.

Excited to be representing @YemaachiBio at a consultative meeting convened by @AfricaCDC to consider a continental agenda for genomic medicine and precision public health.

@yodifiji @BBC @POTUS But where are the commitments by African governments? Who is responsible for the health of African people? Why do we continue to wait for the US and other nations to come to our rescue? Where is African leadership on this matter?

Great day visiting our collaborators at the Meru County Hospital and the county Chief Officer for health. The facility treats over 5000 cancer patients each year and we @YemaachiBio are excited to be partnering to shed light on the genetic basis of cancer in this great county.

This is so exciting. It is tangible evidence of the impact we are hoping to have across the continent. Thanks to our hardworking team for organizing this workshop which will further strengthen our network and enhance the quality of the work we do!
