This year,
#NoHijabDay
is more important than ever. I stand with the women of
#Iran
,
#Afghanistan
and everywhere else where we are forced into covering ourselves. Whilst the West romanticises
#hijab
through
#WorldHijabDay
, I champion freedom.
#Azadi
is coming. #ازادي
Rather chilling hearing talks of the old war chant "khaybar khaybar ya Yahood," from youngsters in my community. It just shows how it's not actual Palestinian interests they have at heart, but just how much hatred they have for Jews. I've said this before, but the majority of >
Just reaching out to my Jewish friends here. I hope you are all okay, it's an awful time with what's going on, and I know some of the protests have been quite aggressive, giving rise to antisemitic attacks in the West. I hope you are all physically and emotionally safe.
So my sister went on the pro-Palestine march today, and she came back so full of hate. It's awful to see how she's so taken in, and I can't even do anything.
My best friend flew half way around the world to stop me being forced into a marriage when I was 18. She called me a few days before and asked me if I was happy to get married, I hesitated, but said I was. That was enough for her to rock up 2 days later and stop it happening.
"Are you pro-Israel?"
"Are you pro-Palestine?"
I don't know, are you pro-America, pro-Uganda, pro-Iceland, pro-Argentina, pro-Madagascar? What do you mean by "pro" exactly? If you're asking if I support the actions of their government regardless of what they do, the answer is no
> these guys have never actually met a Jewish person, it's just the community we live in and the circles we move in. This makes it so easy to "other" Jews and keep blaming them for all their and the world's problems, fuelled by lies and conspiracy theories that spread so easily >
@marweezybaby
That's your problem. You can only see something through your hateful lense, and if anyone says something in solidarity with someone else, then they must be getting paid for it right? Because, heaven forbid that they might think for themselves.
For all those who have been coerced, pressured, shamed and beaten into wearing
#hijab
against their will. For the Iranian women who fight everyday for their right to choose. For all those lives this piece of cloth has ruined, we remember you.
#NoHijabDay
is for you.
> throughout the community and beyond. I've paused writing a piece on this subject, as I feel now is not the right time to put it out, but it'll be highly controversial and definitely give some food for thought.
What a surprise.
#Palestinian
terrorists attack Israelis... In Ramadan.
#Israel
will respond heavily. Palestinians will claim victimhood and seek aid. Muslim charities will ask Muslims to help these 'poor people' by giving our Zakah to them in this holy month of
#Ramadan

This is quite cute, but the reality of them both is very different. If the woman in the lef decided to put in more layers, nobody would stop her or even care. If the woman on the right decided to take a layer off, there would be outrage, threats and even violence.
I grew up with "Zionist" being a dirty word. Something that was awful. Something that was evil, wanting to control and destroy. So it's so refreshing to meet people on Twitter who are Zionists and dispel the myth. It still gives me chills though, but I'm working on it.
Why are some empires romanticised, whilst others are criticised? Do you tell the children HOW it was spread, and what it meant to live under such an empire? No. Yet for sure you teach them how bad the British Empire was.
It's disheartening to have to unfollow otherwise interesting accounts because of their ill informed rants on how Israel is not vaccinating Palestinians in the West Bank. Why do you not hold any other country to the same standards? I'm sick of hearing this "apartheid" nonsense.
@notziora
This is so true. I sometimes have to stay back with some kids when their parents are late to pick them up, they feel so neglected, unimportant and unwanted. This reflects in their progress and their personalities. I wish parents were more responsible in this regard.
#Hamas
does not have the capability to do what it intends to do, which is the destruction of
#Israel
. It doesn't have the capacity to make even a scratch against the Israeli military, which is one of the most powerful and well funded in the world. Hamas KNOWS this. So what is >
Al-Aqsa and Dome of the Rock are both beautiful and I love them. But Jews should also be allowed to worship in the same space. We can share, it's the only way forward.
@FixerSWRC
Are you saying that Jews are baby killers and that it's okay to chant death slogans about them? I wonder if you think it's then okay for others to say Muslims are terrori$ts and chant death slogans about us?
I really don't understand why so many
#Pakistanis
take issue with the existence of
#Israel
. Pakistan itself was created in similar circumstances, for similar reasons at a similar time. Does it make sense to accuse Pakistan of stealing Hindu / Indian land? If you don't believe >
I'm truly grateful for having Twitter, it continues to be a window into worlds outside of my very different one. One of my greatest achievements through here has been coming across some absolutely lovely people. I don't make a secret of the anti-semitic environment I grew up >
After an exhausting day being bombarded by "free Palestine" people on Instagram for welcoming peace between
#Israel
and
#Arab
states, I think I'm ACTUALLY ready to join the IDF.
It was a Muslim who kiIIed the 2nd Rashidun Caliph. It was a Muslim who kiIIed the 3rd Rashidun Caliph. It was a Muslim who kiIIed the 4th Rashidun Caliph. It was a Muslim who kiIIed Prophet Muhammad's grandson. All with chants of "ALLAHU AKBAR!" Yet the Kafirs are our enemy?
@FarisHammadi
I think it's great to see criminals behind bars. Just because they share the same faith as you, it doesn't mean you have to defend them, but then, that says a lot about you.
Today is
#NoHijabDay
, a protest started by Iranian women against forced
#hijab
. In light of recent events in
#Iran
and
#Afghanistan
, it's more important than ever to stand up and be heard. Here's a short piece on what this year's No Hijab Day means to me.
It's amazing how many British Muslims are in support of the Taliban. They claim that Western media is blowing things out of proportion and making Taliban out to be worse than they are. They cheer the 'defeat' of America. I'm even being ridiculed for "believing western media."
So this
#Mullah
is screaming that we (Muslims) shouldn't worry because "no virus can beat us!" He also goes on to say that "no virus can touch the followers of Muhammad, but those who blaspheme, nobody can save from the virus." This is extremely dangerous.
#Covid_19
#COVIDIOT
Imagine your parents not letting you do certain physical education activities like gymnastics at school, in case you rupture your hymen and you're "no longer a virgin."
I have Jewish friends on here, I oppose anti-semitism, I support the right for Israel to exist. The fact that these positions makes many Muslims question my "Muslimness," is a rather sobering reminder of how deeply ingrained some bigotry is.
@marweezybaby
Your timeline us full of igniting racism, BY young arabic boys. I'm actually calling out the hatred of Jews within our communities. You can't keep hiding behind "it's Zionists we don't like," whist our youth chant war cries against Jews.
Wishing my
#Jewish
friends a very happy
#RoshHashanah
, may 5781 bring you all lots of happiness, love, laughter and above all, safety and security. Love you all ❤️
Does that mean that they don't have the right to exist? Of course they have the right to exist. I really don't get the being "pro" Israel / Palestine thing. It's such a loaded question.
Why are people willing to send their children to their death for the sake of "Palestine?" What actually is so special about the idea of a Muslim Palestine? Is it Al-Aqsa? Dome of the Rock? I get that. But as Muslims, we're free to visit and worship there, so what is the issue?
@MaajidNawaz
This is becoming increasingly worrying. It's the kind of mob rule and enforcement we see in theocracies, but to see it happening in the secular and free West is horrifying.
I'm actually sick of reading about the I/P conflict, especially from those who only see one side and think their side can do no wrong and place the blame on the other. I need a new space on Twitter away from all this.
If tyrannical Islamic regimes are what Muslims in Muslim majority countries really want, why are there so many Muslim refugees fleeing those countries?
@RmSalih
30 years ago, there was not a hijab in sight either, so this is quite refreshing to see that hijab has been omitted from this advert. It helps to normalise the fact that a hijab isn't essential to be Muslim. Enjoy the samosas without politicising everything.
> down their prejudices that they've been programmed with and reach out in solidarity, friendship and humanity with Jewish people, for a better, peaceful future for all of us.

Is this how men behave in a culture where women are forced to cover and be segregated? The moment a woman is amongst the men, they show their true colours and maul her like animals. This is the kind of barbaric behaviour that modesty culture creates.
On Pakistan's independence day on the 14th August, 2021, a lady TikToker went to film the event at Lahore's Greater Iqbal Park.
She was molested, groped, assaulted, stripped, harassed & robbed by literally hundreds of men.
Police arrested 126 from the video evidence.
If you're saying the British Empire was bad, but in the next sentence you're glorifying the Islamic Empires, then you really need some consistency. Both were about power and dominance, yet young Muslims will only call out Western colonialism, whilst romanticising imperialism.
You read it correctly, sentenced to 23 years in prison for showing her hair. For. Showing. Her. Hair. Brave women of
#Iran
are dangerously defying this compulsory
#hijab
law everyday in order to bring an end to the
#Islamic
rule. The mullahs know their days are numbered.
@ShireenMcQuade1
Of course they're going through hell, but my concern is that my sister has returned so full of hate, against Israelis, against Jews, against the West.
It's no secret that antisemitism is a problem in many Muslim communities. The latest attack on Jews celebrating in London highlights this once again. We don't need to pretend it doesn't exist. It DOES exist. And whilst those bigots must be found and brought to justice, they're >
I'm not kink shaming, but if you want to be controlled, owned and not have any freedom, there are specialist sites to find like minded people to help you with this.
My thoughts on British Muslims who harbour a hatred for the West, their disjointed identity, their support for an Islamic Caliphate, and my realisation that the Kafir is not my enemy.

Arrested, detained and beaten so severely, that she died from her injuries. All because she wasn't wearing

I'm sure you all have people close to you that you can talk to, I think it's important to do so at times like this. But also, if need to get things off your chest or vent or whatever, you're more than welcome to drop by, my DMs are open.
It was my birthday earlier this week, and the only person to wish me happy birthday in person and get me a present since I was a child, was my husband's new wife. She's actually really sweet, I can't even hate her! 😭
Says rape is never justified, then goes on to justify it. When will you learn that rape has nothing to do with what we wear, and everything to do with the mentality of the rapist? If YOU can't control yourself, that's a YOU problem, don't push the blame onto us.
After the recent banning of
#Halal
and
#Kosher
slaughter in Belgium, people are calling for the same to happen in Britain. Do you think Britain should also ban religious slaughter?
I really don't understand when people call themselves a "Proud [enter ethnicity / faith group], like that's what you were born into, what have you done to be proud of? It gives an air of superiority over others. Be proud of achievements, of positively impacting those around you.
@Iam_Mian1
Beauty? Are you serious? What's beautiful about a sea of black shrouds? The real beauty is being suppressed. You have a beautiful culture and dress, embrace that instead of being colonised by 7th century desert dress / social codes. Being Muslim doesn't mean dressing like that.
Astaghfirullah, you claim to be Muslim yet you aren't even covering your awrah. Letting it all hang loose for all to see, this should be for your wife's eyes only. Seriously, men have no haya or shame nowadays, sign of the end times!
#AndrewTate
Since last year ive been in 24 hour lockdown. No yard time.
Pacing a 3metre cell with zero electronics or outside contact. Absolute clarity of mind. Real thoughts. Real plans.
Vivid pain.
One hour home and I cant stand my phone.
Some habits die hard.
We must defeat Shaytan.
Yes, telling women to cover up in the 7th century Arabian desert was probably good advice. But is it REALLY relevant in the 21st century? Can we not agree that some things must be taken in the context they were given, and not try to shoehorn everything into modern day life?
There are real issues in Muslim communities that need to be addressed, especially around equality and inclusivity for women. We (Muslims and non-Muslims) should be able to talk about these issues without having to worry about being shut down by being labelled "Islamophobic."
@MoralesMeldrich
My then best friend flying half away around the world, rocking up at my hotel and shouting at my parents for trying to push me into the marriage they were arranging for me. I made her stay with me until it was time to leave as I genuinely thought my parents would kill me.
Would you be able to express your freedom by removing hijab? We already know the answer to that. Don't talk about freedom if you're not prepared to talk about the women who are oppressed and forced to wear hijab, and aren't free to remove it.
#NoHijabDay
My recent experiences with modesty culture; a short thread. About a month ago, I was harassed at the bus stop. Nothing overly dangerous, but a guy stopped by and whilst there were others also waiting, he specifically asked me if I wanted a lift. This isn't the first time >
Whenever the Israel / Palestine conflict flares up, antisemitic rhetoric begins to flare up in Muslim communities. You can hate what's going on and rightfully express your anger at the death of innocent people, without resorting to bigoted racist language against an entire people
I have many
#Jewish
friends on here of various persuations, and it's often nice to see differing points of view on something. But recently, my timeline has been full of Jewish people just fighting with each other, point scoring and trying to demean the other. This is not cool >
My thoughts on
#hijab
and choice. Today is
#WorldHijabDay
, raising awareness about Muslim women's right to wear hijab. It is also
#NoHijabDay
, raising awareness for those women who are forced to wear hijab, and their right to not wear or remove hijab.
> Palestinians right now. Everyone I know is donating to them, in good faith. They use Al-Aqsa as the bait, and play upon Muslim emotions attached to the holy site. But the truth is, Hamas doesn't care about it's people. They wash away each death by shrouding it as a martyr so >
No. There's no Caliphate. The Caliphate is dead. Stay dead. We're beyond empires and kingdoms. We're not going back to being forced to live under 7th century desert norms. Keep dreaming.
Don't be quick to judge someone for wearing niqab or even
#hijab
. You have no idea about her life or her story. Sometimes, wearing a
#niqab
/ hijab is the only way she's able to leave the house and go about her everyday life.
#Hijab
isn't enough, even
#niqab
isn't enough. I must now wear dark brown coloured contact lenses whenever leaving the house, as my light eyes could be "causing fitna." Great. Effing great.
The chants in the video are taken from the protests in Iran against the Islamic Regime in response to the death of
#MahsaAmini
, they're shouting "Azadi," freedom, which so many of us in the West take for granted. Just to be clear, I'm not anti-hijab, I'm pro-choice.
> repeat about my journey through all this, but I'd like to say that being on Twitter has really helped me 'meet' and understand Jewish people. And honestly, I've found Jews to be some of the most caring, hospitable and compassionate people. I sincerely hope more people can put >
This is not only false, but also dangerous. The battle of Khaybar was not defensive, it was an OFFENSIVE attack as a 'preemptive' measure. Many Jews were kiIIed at Khaybar, and had their agricultural land taken. It was probably the biggest victory of the Muslim army >
The Metropolitan Police are out of order calling the Battle of Khaybar "a massacre of Jews." It was a battle between the Muslims and Jewish tribes who had violated a peace treaty by conspiring with others to attack the believers. The Jewish tribes were defeated in war but were

Honour based abuse is still an issue in Britain in 2023. The fact that some parents would go so far as kiIIing their own daughter just because she had a white boyfriend, in order to protect their 'honour,' is horrific.
For the Muslims who are sliding into my DMs telling me I'm a sell out for supporting Israel, let me make it clear. I support the right for Israel to exist as a Jewish homeland. I also support the right for Palestinians to have a homeland. I do not support killing of innocent ppl.
What on earth is he talking about??? I'm really struggling to understand what his argument is.
"Get your top Jewish man, put him on Zoom with me.." For what? This is actually really scary. This is Wiley, a British urban music artist with half a million followers on Twitter.
