اذا كنت تعتقد ان الأشعة التداخلية يتوقف بلا حلول عند عدم القدرة على استخدام الصبغة بسبب ضعف وظائف الكلى.. فكر مرة اخرى … يمكن استخدام غاز ثاني اكسيد الكربون كبديل للصبغة بدون اي ضرر على الكلى .. اسأل عن عيادة او تخصص الاشعة التداخلية .. هناك بدائل وحلول 👍

Severe biliary dilatation to the point of distortion of the liver anatomy.. To make things worse..The stent was protruding posteriorly into the hilum making the angle difficult to cross..Successful recanalization of the stent with Int/Ext drain..IR is available to offer solutions

Young lady, May-Thurner syndrome complicated by acute DVT.. Lt LL Swelling and pain for a week not improving on AC..1st session we cleaned the clots with pharmacomechanical approach. Next session was day after with stent..Find an IR for complex venous cases.. Always with solution

Now that is IR .. a glimpse of what IR can do 👍🏼
Vesicovaginal fistula from cervical cancer can be very debilitating for the patients. This patient went from using 12-15 pads a day 😢 to 1-2 pads a day 😀. Pt is ecstatic 🤩 and couldn’t stop crying 😭 with happiness at 6 week follow up. Fistula was embolized with glue.

PROS : It might help reducing pelvic pain & help in directing flow toward stent & enhances patency !
CONS: might worsen leg symptoms especially if stent got occluded in the future !!! ..

I always believe -unless in extreme situation- that if there is room for Angio..Then there is room for a quick CTA at least..Study it carefully.. If that was done properly..Then the angio/embo will be a walk in the park.. You will be prepared and you won't waste a single second!
