Brian Granton ’19, worked on an independent study with Dr. Forsha & developed a conceptual paper. He was selected to present his paper to the Board of Trustees. On June 18, his paper was submitted to the Midwest Academy of Management for inclusion in their annual meeting.

The City of Fulton presented the Jane Bierdeman-Fike Humanitarian Award today. This year, two of the nominees were employees of William Woods University. Mona Steffens and Dr. Elizabeth Wilson were finalists for the award. Dr. Elizabeth Wilson received the award this year.

Congratulations to William Woods’ own Rosie Lenz, who was crowned yesterday as the 2021 Missouri State Fair Queen! Rosie received the highest score of 34 contestants vying for the title during a two-day competition at the State Fairgrounds in Sedalia.

William Woods is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former Director of Athletics, Larry York. Larry served as WWU Director of Athletics from 2000 to 2011, overseeing the expansion of the department both on and off the field. Our deepest condolences to his family.

We are very excited to announce this new partnership now that the agreement was officially signed this morning on William Woods campus. Dr. Barnett and Major General Danner announced the Show-Me GOLD program in front of William Woods community members.
When we came to visit, we talked to David Forster, an associate professor of Business and Economics. He convinced me that business can be used anywhere and it would be helpful for my career. I decided to double major in Equestrian Studies and Business.

William Woods officially announced its Dean’s List for Fall 2018. A total of 256 students earned a place on the Fall 2018 Dean’s List, that requires a full-time student achieve a minimum 3.6 semester and cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Giving back to the community: this week, members of the WWU baseball team and Social Work classes volunteered to unload and deliver “buddy packs,” consisting of nutritious food and snacks, at Central Christian Church in Fulton. Way to go, Owls!
On this Monday at Tucker Dining Hall, it was Thanksgiving dinner for all students, faculty and staff – with President Moreland serving desserts!

! We have a few sets of twins on campus. Juniors Hannah and Haley Cronin came to William Woods together and both became very involved on campus.
Madison Shaughnessy ’18 exhibited her senior project on Tuesday. She took on this project because it combined her EQS and Studio Art majors.
“I had no prior experience with leather painting or dying.” Shaughnessy said of her project, but we think it turned out beautifully.
