1. "I want to request a copy of a video game from PR, but I'm not entirely sure how to interact with them / who to reach out to."
Great. Hopefully this thread helps.
Here's a hot-take:
The people that bash on mobile gaming are an offshoot of toxic masculinity. They get off on hating something that they've traditionally associated with a heavily female audience.
Streamers/Influencers:
You're unwittingly hurting yourself by calling yourself a variety streamer.
What you think it means: "I play games other than Fortnite/Apex"
What it means to PR/CMs: "Streamer hasn't found their audience yet, and isn't consistent with what they play."
Props to PlayStation. Look at the comments to this tweet, and be embarrassed with how much work we still need to do in the gaming community as a whole. Gamers should be celebrating everyone in their community, not alienating them.

@Slasher
lol. don't even give him a minute of your time. We put a corporate restraining order out on him at one of my past companies because he misrepresented himself as working for us.
Paragon's server closing email to players is one of the most honest and transparent pieces of communication I've read in a while. Huge kudos to Epic and crew. You did everything right in this situation.
@saintknives
The people rioting and looting are the reason the national guard is rolling through my block.
Not saying that there isn't going going to be police cracking down on peaceful protests (obviously there's a fuckton of it), but violent riots aren't sustainable to get change
I'm always confused by people that build their own personal brand around toxicity. Why would anyone be attracted to someone that established themself by tearing others down instead of building other up.
Positivity is the foundation of longevity.
Just a reminder that there are amazing people working behind all your favorite games and companies that spend an unconscionable amount of hours making sure your personal experience is as seamless as possible.
Take a second to think of and thank the people behind the products. <3
It seems the gaming industry is in a constant battle of developers reminding players that games are a business, and players reminding developers that they should fuck off and die.

Reminder: Ian Miles Cheong is a dangerous twitter grifter that has slowly gone off the deepend the last 10 years from dabbling in right wing conspiracy theories to now getting RT'd by Trump. I'm shocked how many people I know still follow him. Please block and cut him out.
@THQNordic
I mean... that's a really bad look to give those people that literally harbor child rapists any of your time. But, hey. That's just my opinion.
Celeste deserves every single nomination that it received from
#TheGameAwards
. What they managed to accomplish in a puzzle platfomer while still telling an impactful story, and captivating the player with the musical score is incredible.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance launched two days ago, and is still the
#1
game on Steam,
#3
game on Twitch, and we just announced that it's sold over 500,000 units. Not half bad for a studio of 120 people, huh? So proud to have worked on this game.
The US military is trained to do one thing - Kill. They are not a police force, and deploying them inside the country is incredibly irresponsible and dangerous.
Now is the time for the armed forces to refuse this insane order.
If your personal identity is established by things you hate instead of things that you love, then you cultivate and breed negativity.
Find things you love in the world, and evangelize them.
🚨Career Update🚨
After over 4 years, it's finally come time to "spread my wings." Today is my last day at Deep Silver. I've forged unbelievable friendships, and been lucky enough to work on games that I truly love. Looking forward to share more news soon. <3
Why are people so mad about CDPR removing binary gender options in Cyberpunk 2077? Do these people even have an inkling of what cyberpunk culture is all about?
🐍Career Update🐍
Thrilled to officially announce that I've joined Razer to lead PR for one of the product divisions. Two weeks so far, and the team has been amazing. Big things to come that I can't wait to share. 💚
PR 101:
Do not engage in something unless you fully understand the implications of it.
Just putting this out there in case someone can use a reminder today.
Had a great time giving a private tour to
@CouRageJD
, and showing him behind the scenes of what it takes to put together an

homestand.

Ask for every cop in this country to be fired. Defund the whole system and start over. It's completely corrupt. It's not just him, NOT A SINGLE ONE of the other "good cops" helped a bleeding, helpless senior.
Reports coming in that National Guard has humvees with .50 cal mounted turrets at city hall in DTLA. They just muzzle swept the crowd with a fucking .50 cal turret, and threatening to arrest anyone still onsite after curfew.
15. /thread. Feel free to ask if you have questions about anything that wasn't covered. Games PR people are super talented lovely crew, and are worth working with.

If spitting is assault, then potentially purposefully infecting someone should be assault too. Punching him in the throat is merely self-defense.
