The scientific method is for everyone: it's how we separate fact from fiction. I want to break down three key principles everyone should know (that can save your life): causal inference, study design, and data interpretation. 🧵👇 #Science #CriticalThinking

An interesting analogy, particularly Ma’s parallel, which I find affine in terms of challenged power. With just three weeks on the job, it’s hard to tell if Musk will be Trump’s Ma. After all, we don’t know if musk is dismantling bureaucracy or just shifting influence. Regarding your claim that “DOGE aims to make the U.S. government more flexible and informal”, not sure it follows from your premise that doge is structurally akin to Xi’s anti-corruption (and power consolidation) drive. There’s no evidence as yet to suggest that Musk’s efforts to introduce efficiency are deliberately pushing toward informality. The US gov’s inefficiency is a function of many variables besides over regulation, such as entrenched interests, state dynamics, political gridlocks, etc. So then, is Musk disrupting governance or merely redistributing influence? The answers can currently sail only on speculation. I agree with you that time will tell.

@elonmusk Elon, while DOGE etc is your main duty, I urge you to champion science and the scientific method. In an age where misinformation spreads like wildfire, a well-placed signal from you could help steer the bandwagon toward reason.

@OttoKurect @DrNeilStone I'm afraid every generation will have such an infection of the mind that needs seasonal treatment through such an 'antibiotic'. If there were a 'vaccine' against this mind virus, it'd be a great win for humanity.
