All the evidence says young people can be harmed by social media but that it also provides benefits, especially for kids who are isolated. A proper consultation would, if nothing else, mean that other things could be identified to replace those benefits. Why the rush?

@Trev__Says @kazza264 New census topics have to go through parliament. The govt said they wouldn’t do that for any of these topics. So the ABS stopped the testing they had planned. The gov has now said they’ll allow a question on one new topic - sexual orientation. It’s not a media pile on. Cheers

@JonesHowdareyou Yeah, I’ve seen that. And posted about it. It’s a terrible decision. Better to include no one that divide our community. We should *all* be counted.
