I started with fever and extreme fatigue from 5th, got tested on 6th, negative. Positive on 10th. In Home isolation. And today had to get admitted as developed more symptoms. It's more than 10 days and the disease is still showing progression. Don't take it lightly.

I think the number depicts total procedures, both complex and simple, long and short.. and if this is so, then yes, these numbers can be true. But this definitely mean extreme level of burnout which is not at all uncommon in superspeciality practice.

Medical system everywhere is flawed. India due to the extremely low doctor:patient ratio (high population) , US, due to extremely crazy bills and dependence on insurance (unaffordable insulin!)

Even in MP. We went on strike against hooliganism and assault on doctors. Our demands were heard and met in a few days. Hospital got CCTVs everywhere,more police protection,more doors and a full time police Chowki.This happened in my second yr. No outright assault happened again.
Unlike this crazy lady, Fadnavis handled the strike well. He was respectful of our concerns, requested doctors with folded hands to join back, made firm commitments and kept them by deploying state security in public hospitals, treated doctors’ delegations with utmost courtesy.

Every surgeon should atleast once undergo a procedure in local anesthesia. The initial pain of local instillation followed by the relief, brings a new perspective and respect for anesthesia. Underwent a procedure in local in the same ot where I operated from 8 to 4.
