@Bill_Linnane @brianclayton …..is risky. And the Waterford bottlings just didn’t have enough depth of flavour or POD in the style to catch their audience. Particularly at the price tags attached. Compare the difference with, say, Ardnamurchan’s early releases that were bursting with flavour.

@SpiritAndWood @_dramface @Springbank1828 @Ardbeg It’s nuanced, but I think the complaint is not that it’s chill-filtered…but more the high price being charged for a whisky that’s below 46% (and is thus chillfiltered)

@Bill_Linnane Interesting that reports about Scotch whisky’s fortunes always seem to toggle between *value* and *volume*. We’ve been hearing for years that volume is dropping but value is rising. Has value now (finally) followed volume in the bad news stakes?
