Today WPD responded to a residential burglary call. The elderly resident couldn’t get someone out to repair her door until tomorrow. Sgt. Webb and Officer Farro didn’t want to leave her house unsecured overnight so they put on their handyman hats and secured her door for her.

On July 13, 2022, at about 5:51 pm, WPD officers responded to the 76 gas station (6322 Westminster Blvd.) re: a stabbing. Trent William Millsap is suspected of stabbing the victim.

Today, WPD Officers responded to McFadden Ave/Beach Blvd where a local transient was suspected to have mental health problems along with a homeless encampment. Our Officers contacted the County Assessment Team, who took him to a local hospital to receive treatment and resources.

🚨 Yesterday, Officers responded to Club Bleu re: a report of a person brandishing a firearm.
Suspect fled but was located. A search of their vehicle revealed a stolen firearm, a ghost gun, ammunition, cash, & 61 grams of cocaine.

🚨Last night, your WPD Detectives stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. They recovered approximately 1 lb. of meth, a few thousand dollars in cash, prescription narcotics, and drug packaging.
The driver was arrested for possession for sales and booked at Orange County Jail.

Earlier today, Officers located an occupied stolen vehicle in the area of Beach/Trask. They conducted a high risk traffic stop & took the driver & passenger into custody. 1 subject was on parole for a prior carjacking conviction & 1 had drugs and possession of the stolen vehicle.
🚨Last night, one of our WPD Sergeants conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Bushard St./Hazard Ave. A search revealed over 30g of meth., items related to drug sales, & a loaded unserialized handgun with a high capacity magazine under the driver’s seat.

🚨On Tues., WPD Detectives assisted Patrol Officers w/ a LoJack hit. We located the stripped BMW in a garage on 14th St. Search warrant was served & we confiscated 3 illegal guns, over $250k in U.S. currency/recovered EDD funds, & illegal narcotics. 5 suspects taken into custody.

🚨Drug Arrest: today, officers responded to 18th/Beach Blvd for a welfare check. Officers located 1 individual inside the residence. A large quantity of meth was located in plain sight. The individual was arrested & booked into OCJ for possession of drugs for sale.

Today @ 9:30am, patrol officers received a LOJACK hit on a stolen vehicle in the area of Beach/Westminster. The suspect began pulling over but jumped back in the truck + fled into a residential neighborhood. He crashed + ran on foot. He was taken into custody + booked at OCJ.
An elderly female was found wandering on foot in the 5900 block of Iroquois Rd. She appeared confused & was unable to provide her place of residence. If any members of the public know her identity or place of residence, please contact WPD Dispatch at 714-548-3212.

The WPD is aware of a nonspecific threat to Orange County schools. No Westminster school is identified specifically as a target. We are communicating with all school districts, and there will be an increased police presence at all schools in the morning.
Sgt Webb saw this adorable pup running in the street in the area of Beach and Westminster. He was detained after a fairly long foot pursuit throughout the area. He is now at WAGS where he will no doubt enjoy a refreshing bowl of ice water before his long nap.

🚨 This past Saturday, Officers stopped a vehicle for CVC violations near Bushard/Hazard.
Driver was a convicted felon, documented gang member, + on active probation. He had a loaded firearm on him + a large amount of cash. He was arrested for weapons charges + parole violation.
