Rightly so, this Country is governed by #WeThePeople , the decision of the Judges therefore shouldn’t be in your interest but in the interest of the people. #WeThePeople also know that it is our duty to do anything to protect and defend the constitution and defend it we shall!

Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu. Greetings. I was sorry to hear of the wrong decision by the Supreme Court in the matter of the fire-arms armed civilians being tried by the Military Court Martial. This is a method which we the freedom fighters support because it reinforces the Civilian Judicial System to defend the lives of our People against Criminals armed with guns. If you are not a soldier, why do you arm yourself with guns and, moreover, for criminal purposes and illegally, that are a monopoly of the Armed Forces? Below is my full response on the issue of the General Court Martial.

The trail of civilians in the military court martial has been an injustice entrenched by the Supreme Court and like Dr. @bkabumba has consistently said, eyes are on the @JudiciaryUG with hope that they correct this wrong! Justice should and we hope it shall prevail.

Liberation? #WeThePeople recall our history. And these #39YearsofDictatorship have not been any different from that which they claim to have liberated us from. Gross human rights violations. Poor service delivery. Impunity. Corruption. And worse! So what were we liberated from?

36,520 people on remand is a worrying number! Some of these people are in prisons for years with no trial. The numbers are overwhelming and yet still, the state will still arrest and remand more over things like protesting. #SpotlightOnPrisonsUg

It has now become a habit to treat social justice activists and human rights defenders as enemies of the state, even from premises of the place that ought to be the fountain of justice. We demand for the immediate release of @AAgather and @samson_kiirya ! #FreeAgather #FreeSam

Earlier today, We went to the Supreme Court to submit a petition. However, we were instructed to limit our representation to two individuals. @AAgather & @samson_kiirya entered the premises but were abruptly and violently arrested and we saw them being taken away. #EndImpunity
