I start driving next Thursday with hand controls which will also give me more freedom and independence.

Tough day today, the realism of my wife having to have surgery tomorrow to try and remove the cancer is awful.

This time last year, I had spent 116 days in hospital ended up having another above knee Amputation. Above-knee Bi-Lateral
My wife was diagnosed with Ovarian & womb cancers.
Chemotherapy all done, CT scan looks good.
One year on we are still alive and kicking.

Had a little accident yesterday in my wheelchair, there was a huge Range Rover parked half on the road and half on the path. Trying to get past I smacked my stump on the bumper.
Didn’t think much to it yesterday,but today I looked at my stump today and was like WOW.

I can’t believe it, came out of my wheelchair yesterday Afternoon and ended up in A&E. very shocked to find out that I only went and fractured my T12 vertebrae and I am laying flat in a bed in agony. I have had to much bad luck.

Arrived home, my wheelchair hit a stone, I fell forward and my wheelchair rolled into the road.
A car that was going past saw my wheelchair in the road and stopped to help me get back in the chair.
I was very grateful to the lovely lady.
