The primary goal of intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) treatment is to increase myocardial oxygen supply and decrease myocardial oxygen demand. Our @WaltonAirRescue crews recently attended annual IABP training this week in Pensacola along side members from our sister bases!

Our flight crew is providing patient transport following this crash in Walton County.
TRAFFIC CRASH SHUTS DOWN SOUTHBOUND 331 S AT COUNTY ROAD 3280 IN FREEPORT @WCSOFL has shut down both southbound lanes of 331 S near the intersection of County Road 3280 in Freeport. @WCFRFL is on scene and @WaltonAirRescue has landed on 331 S to provide transport. Deputies are rerouting traffic down Fluffy Landing. @FHPPanhandle is en route. Drivers are asked to use caution in the area and expect delays. We appreciate your patience.

It takes all of us. Today, the @WaltonAirRescue Flight Crew landed and were brought to a crash to assist @WCFRFL & @WCSOFL on scene with treatment prep. The patient, who miraculously survived the crash, was eventually extricated and flown to a hospital in a neighboring county.
