@anikala The Attentional hyperactivity-is the reason why there is a general thought that those with ADHD are good at multitasking. Actually, most people just sit with 100 tabs open on their browser not completing any.

@anikala And finally, cognitive hyperactivity- or ceaseless mental activity. Cognitive hyperactivity with Attentional hyperactivity-leads to day dreaming. The attention is caught up by every other thought that comes to mind.

Hyperactivity in Adult ADHD: Attentional hyperactivity- every irrelevant thing catches your attention (including thoughts). Emotional hyperactivity - 0-100 and back in a second. Cognitive hyperactivity - ceaseless mental activity. Physical hyperactivity - restless... #ADHD #ADD

Excellent thread - time to reframe the age-old doom narrative of "psychosis is neurotoxic". This reorganisation framework gives hope to those who are late to services - no one should be penalised for being late. Active intervention should be offered at any stage?
