Pastor is a "verb of service" not a "noun of status." Every Christian is called to shepherd others to Jesus. If your definition of pastor "one with spiritual authority or divine power over others" then Christian women cannot be pastors. Neither can Christian men.

In 2006,Condoleezza Rice, US Sec. of State, spoke at the SBC. Messengers applauded as she explained how the US bombed the Taliban terrorists in Bora Bora. I wrote in 2006 the invitation for her to speak wasn’t wise. I’m consistent, old, and Republican.
