Actually it is true. These were young recruits assigned to observe the border fence between Israel and Gaza. Unarmed female soldiers. Their post was overrun and they had no power to prevent what happened. It was 6:30 am. Some were working and a number were sleeping.

I lived and worked on a kibbutz where we produced the windshields for those buses. Extra layers of glass and vinyl. Absolutely required, especially in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank).
