This past week marked one year @WSAV! I am grateful to be living my dream as a broadcast meteorologist in one of the most beautiful areas in the country! Looking forward to another year of growth, stoke, and surf casts!🤙

Temperatures will be back into the 80s tomorrow afternoon and we could make a run for tomorrows record of 83 degrees! ☀️

So far the max temperature recorded at KSAV today was 81 degrees leaving us JUST shy of the record!

Recently, the jet stream has been far north of our region and flat (oriented west to east). This has resulted in pleasant and warm conditions for the past few days. As we head into next week, cold air from Canada will dive into portions of the lower 48 which will amplify the jet stream. A more active pattern will set up with some areas of the south possibly receiving several inches of rain over the next 7 days.

Be careful on the roads late tonight and into early tomorrow morning for some patchy dense fog! This could make travel a bit challenging.

Temperatures heading into the weekend will be almost 20 degrees above normal which puts us close to some records! Will we break them? It's gonna be close!

Tomorrow will be another warm day with high temperatures nearing our record in Savannah! The record is 82 degrees last set in 2019. A partly cloudy to mostly sunny sky along with a light westerly breeze will make for excellent outdoor time!

Overnight tonight conditions will be mostly clear and mild with temperatures only falling into the upper 50s! This sets the stage for another warm day tomorrow! Be careful of some patchy morning fog in some spots!

After we clear a little bit of morning clouds and fog a sunny and very warm afternoon is on the way for Thursday. Highs once again will be back into the upper 70s to lower 80s. Savannah's record tomorrow is 82 so we could get very close to it!
