An #AvianInfluenza Prevention Zone is in place across Great Britain. If you own #Poultry, even just pet #chickens, or other captive birds, including #Gamebirds, take action to prevent contact with wild birds & rodents to reduce the risk of disease spread.

The Deputy First Minister had a paw-some time when he visited @DTCardiff's impressive new centre.🐾 @Huw4Ogmore discussed a range of animal welfare related issues with the team and was thrilled to meet the residents!🐶
It was lovely to welcome the Deputy First Minister of Wales, @huw4ogmore to @DTCardiff today! The visit was a fantastic opportunity to show the hard work and dedication of the team at the rehoming centre to prepare dogs for their forever homes. @WGRural

In order to protect domestic birds from #AvianInfluenza, @CVOCymru, Dr Richard Irvine has made the decision to ban gatherings of poultry across Wales, in line with England and Scotland, from noon on 10 February 2025. #ProtectYourBirds
