July advice for interns: be an enzyme! Every hospital pt plan has a rate limiting step; rarely it is the order. Thermodynamics: A rxn can not go faster than the rate limiting step. An effective intern⬇️ activation energy! #MedEd @uwgensurgres @UWSurgery @LenaSibulesky

@drymtn @CaseySeidemanMD I have always cringed at "my ****". I think it implies ownership and reinforces the historical hierarchy of medicine. Words matter.

@seth_waits @KyleSheetz @JAMASurgery Thanks for examining this. What do you think is explanation for importing and exporting more, but at the same time, also traveling further for procurements?

@VNikolian @ColumbiaSurgery @unningham @OHSUsurgery @OHSUsimulation Great video! A retired VA gen surg faculty, Philo Calhoun, who published a book on knots, advocated for this same approach. Two throws the same way also makes a locking girth hitch vs a cows hitch....you can anchor yourself rock climbing w/ girth hitch

Trauma/egs, the unexpected take back, etc Quality education is setting expectations up front, incorporating their goals, sharing your passion, involving the learner, creating psychological safety
