One memory I have of Dori Monson was when I was around 10 years old. I was upset because of how long the drive back from Eastern WA was taking, as any kid would. But I was happy to hear Dori’s voice come on the radio because it meant we were close to home now.

With Dave Reichert now filed to run for governor, I think it is interesting to check out his electoral history. In 2008, he won a third term in WA-8 defeating democrat Darcy Burner. The heavily suburban district included the eastern suburbs of Seattle & south into Pierce County.
