Ridiculous
@AlleghenyDems
! The entire
@ACDelegation
(including 2 not endorsed) is listed but not the only African-American women ever elected to state office from the AC!?! List all or none. If
@SummerForPA
isn't there tomorrow remove me. Anyone w/me?
Wait, what? This is the exact opposite of what needs to happen! For far too long
#neurodivergent
people have been left behind, often to appease people they shouldn’t need to. Telling a parent to just “leave him at home” is insulting. Home is everywhere the family is! 1/2
If judicial candidates can’t speak to the challenges embedded in our criminal justice system faced by people of color & poor people & offer insight as to how the judiciary can be part of the change, then I have no interest on you being on the bench, on any bench, anywhere in PA.
Of course why I am even tweeting to
@AlleghenyDems
, they haven't posted in 2 years. Was there literally nothing politically worth engaging people on during the entire time!?!
Judicial candidates who seek my support must at a minimum: 1) acknowledge that our criminal justice system disproportionately impacts people of color & poor people, 2) not keep people on probation or kick them out of diversionary programs because they are simply too poor,... 1/2
@AlleghenyDems
@ACDelegation
@SummerForPA
Also, I have been involved w/
@AlleghenyDems
for years & endorsed 5x. I have never know them to donate $ to a state rep candidate, let alone one running against an incumbent (
@emily4pa20
)- & likely with $ "given" by delegation members during the endorsement process!
@akela_lacy
PAC ads like this have no place in a Dem primary.
@SummerForPA
has been a hardworking part of our Caucus for years. Disagree w/her (or any of us) on any issue as you will. But our primaries should be about how best to grow our middle class & fulfill America's promise. That's it.
Addiction is not a moral failure, there is no need to somehow seek public forgiveness, and people with addiction need to be embraced & supported not isolated or shunned. The opposite of addiction is connection!
I know I extend the congratulations from
@Joanna4PA
& the entire
@PAHDCC
leadership team to Matt Gergley on winning the 35th party recommendation. Let’s go get it!
#keeping35
@Tim_Walz
you bring your son everywhere, to everything, at anytime. No apology or explanation is needed. America is big enough for everyone & that must include anyone who is
#neurodivergent
too! 2/2
Great energetic crowd in Castle Shannon today to hear me and
@GavinNewsom
and
@PisciottanoPA
talk about Democratic victory in November and the
@JoeBiden
record of accomplishment!
Improving education for every child is a fundamental pillar for our ENTIRE Caucus. Last year the majority of House Dems voted against the final budget. Not b/c they were against education, but rather they were likely tired of accepting less when they know how great the need is.
The big night for Allegheny County Dems begins & end in the House of Labor. So many working families teamed together to roar & they are embodied by my brother
@Darrinkellypgh
. On one leg he lifted us all up & together we aren’t done yet!
@AlleghenyLabor
@PaAFL_CIO
@steelworkers
Thank you to
@AlleghenyDems
and their leadership team of Sam,
@mo_overton
& Emily for their fantastic work in overseeing the committee process for the 32, 34, & 35 special elections. Everyone involved did a great job & helped get us all ready for victory on 2/7!
@PAHDCC
By focusing on differences to score political points you miss the importance of this moment. It reflects the singular truth of the human condition, that love is universal. He loves his dad. If you see anything else you have my sympathy.

Judicial candidates should be able to admit that it is an embarrassment that PA is the only state in the union that doesn't fund it its public defenders office- unless the state is trying to kill you. Then the state will cough up 500k, because... justice?!?
3) recognize that mandatory minimums & legislative felony addiction erode constitutional rights & 4) work to end the growing court administration reliance on the fines & costs paid by those they supervise. Status quo is not an option. 2/2
Thank you: To every
@PAHDCC
member who came out or called, to every local official who helped, to
@AlleghenyLabor
, to
@AlleghenyDems
, to
@steelworkers
, to our candidates who worked hard & most importantly thank you to the voters who again elected 102 Dems to the House!
#AC102
Judicial candidates should be able to talk about how many people actually understand a plea deal, what does it mean to be knowing & voluntary, how questioning w/o an attorney can impact young people or people with mental health issues...
The only way Democrats could pass substantive bills under the previous hyper-partisan Republican House majority was to give the bill away. Literally. The more impactful the bill was the smaller chance you had to pass it. This was the experience for every Dem in Allegheny County.
No surprise that members of the
@PAHDCC
are elected to higher office. Our bench is deep & we speak to the issues people care about. Our ENTIRE caucus will continue to fight & outwork the opposition to protect the majority & to deliver for Pennsylvanians. Count on it!
Just realized that if Sara Innamorato prevails in this year’s general election for Allegheny County exec, PA is gonna have ANOTHER special election for a state house seat that will determine if Dems can maintain their narrow 1 seat majority, bc her house seat will be vacated
Judicial candidates mentioning family court should also know the difference between dependency & delinquency, should be able to talk about the challenges in foster care across the board, & should know what our stats say about our LGBTQ youth in the system!
And respectfully, if you cant talk about those issues, as judicial candidates seeking a job of immense importance, trust, & responsibility, reconsider why you are running.
From what I understand, the inaugural PA celebration & its lead sponsor were coordinated by the incoming administration, who I wish well. But I cant attend an event where the lead sponsor gets their money by breaking unions & stopping workers from exercising their rights. 1/2
Elections are always about ideas, about a distinguishable yet relatable vision. They are about our shared future & how broadly a candidate paints it. And while timing matters, so does preparation, organization & ability. All of which led to
@Innamo
's victory tonight.
Fighting for improvements to a criminal justice system that disproportionally impacts people of color & poor people in the only state that doesn't fund its public defenders offices is not being pro-crime. Smart criminal justice reform & accountability are not incongruent terms.
Judicial candidates should be able to talk about the PA Sentencing Commission, and while you're at it, tell me what you know about the District Attorneys Association.
