Goodbye to living under the American nuclear umbrella, or any form of American hegemony. Goodbye to negotiation, wheedling, genuflecting or feel-good hands-across-the-border fairy tales. The American government has shown that established alliances mean nothing to it now, and so cannot be trusted. In Trump’s new world order, all the old verities are off the table, so let us make new ones. Do levy tariffs, as we have promised to do, and do grit our way through the inevitable economic pain that will come. Re-arm as if we were on a war footing, because we are on a war footing. Conduct the mother of all public relation campaigns that let Americans know how badly they are perceived in the world, that they’ve gone from the shining city on the hill to just another empire with the same tired territorial ambitions as Russia or China. Do anything to impress upon Americans that their government is without real friends or allies, and that they, in essence, are alone. So, goodbye America, it’s been nice knowing you, but I don’t know you anymore. I’ve reached that point in our relationship where any admiration I have had for you has been replaced by a new, angry resolve, which is: I won’t consort with the enemy” #democracy #authoritarianism #canada #usa #politics #monday #gaza

@ProudPatriots1 I assume the widow of Corey Comperatore is receiving a portion of the profits? No?

@acwelling @JeffRoushPoetry 100%. Patriotism is about the constitution, the rule of law and respect for our institutions.

RT @JeffRoushPoetry: The current president has majorities in both houses of Congress. Whether it’s the un-passable awfulness of his policie…

It was an attempted self coup, and you unpatriotic traitors don’t care. The constitution and the rule of law as well as the office of president is what should be respected. It hasn’t even been a month and he’s already screwed over the American farmer by eliminating programs that help sustain them. And that includes fertilizer that we get from China, Russia and Canada. Even Senator Grassley, who’s a republican begged Trump not to tariff potash. We get 12 million metric tons of food from Mexico. The United States food supply is a matter of national security, and since the pandemic corporate grocers have increased their profit margin from 11% for the last 10 years to 54% after the pandemic. The Congress people on the tit, taking corporate money, refuse to trust-bust these guys. Thankfully, the Kroger merger was stopped by a judge. You guys have absolutely no fucking clue what you voted for. Last time when he did this with soy, we ended up spending millions of dollars to bail them out. And the steel and aluminum tariffs will be inflationary and a drag on growth. Last time at least he didn’t tariff every single country so US manufacturers were able to get their materials from Vietnam and other countries (which were mostly Chinese companies). Not this time. He’s doubling down on the dumb. You guys are so impressed with the pissing contest, you don’t realize you’re the ones getting wet. The dumb is at toxic levels.
Please, let's not give Mitch too much credit here. Trump's acquittal was a testament to the strength of the 'Make America Great Again' movement and the unwavering support of the American people. It wasn't just McConnell; it was a bipartisan vote that showed Trump's resilience is like a superhero's - he's got plot armor! The January 6 event? More like a speed bump on Trump's road to political immortality. So, let's give credit where it's due: to Trump for his comeback, to the MAGA movement for its unstoppable force, and to the American people for recognizing a true champion when they see one!

Apparently, in my district, there’s a lot of handwringing because the Chinese could just all of a sudden decide not to buy our white wheat anymore. (White wheat is for noodles and red wheat is for bread). I think when it comes to large operations, you are correct about subsidies, but smaller operators only receive 26% of these subsidies depending on what stat you’re looking at, which is nowhere near fair and they’re the ones who need support the most. There’s a lot of “we shall see” out there right now. Maybe it’s the scare rural Folk need to realize who’s really supporting them because Biden was rolling out all measures of ag support. I signed up for updates from USDA and I was overwhelmed by emails about new programs. Trump will inevitably reverse a lot of that. Especially when it comes to sustainability projects. Plus, we get the majority of our fertilizer from China, Russia, and Canada. We don’t develop the nitrates for fertilizer so that’s gonna add a big wallop to the cost of production.

Well, our food supply is a matter of national security. I wouldn’t be so glib about it. We have to stop short of schadenfreude when our Maga neighbors get hurt economically by Trump‘s lunatic agenda. We need to have our hugs ready to accept them after they’re hurting. And hopefully convince the Democrats, who sat this election out that while they chose to ignore democracy, fascism will not ignore them.

They do. Two Washington Post reporters created the contrarian as an answer to the lack of endorsement for Harris after they left. I’ve been talking about this issue for a long time so when I posted my main post, I didn’t explain myself well enough. It’s not just what we read. It’s what others read. You’re still here on Twitter, along with me and millions of liberals except for the fact That a lot of the left has abandoned Twitter. That’s my point. Don’t give up anything. I get why reporters leave, but we know where Maga is gonna go after the fact. I live in a red area, so Local’s not gonna get it done here.

@CathyCa80116006 Those two. Bezos doesn’t need the money. If you pull out, you lose influence.
