@jasmineelgamal That goes without saying, doesn't it? Middle East dictator (granted, one of the more benign) knows how to do public relations with fellow dictator (a really stupid one).

@Angry_Staffer Glad he's out....but wait until the other shoe drops for the payment (likely Ukraine will pay).

@atrupar I thought Chevron said that Congress (or judges) had to fill in "ambiguous" authorities in regulations,...not the agencies of the executive branch. Guess that only meant for Democratic presidents...and Rs are allowed to defy the unambiguous authorities as well.

@Vote4AnnMarie there are a few people not on both (one is the wonderful Sam Ghali who does medical videos) and perhaps because of size, the threads don't refresh quickly on Blue Sky.

@BriannaWu Russell Vought was pretty clear in Project 2025....their goal is to traumatize people. Whether there is a real purpose to that (numbing people into compliance) or it's just a reflection of their pathologic cruelty is kind of irrelevant I guess. But there is no reasoning with it.

@JuddLegum Oh, but "Why would anyone object to an 'audit' to get rid of waste fraud and abuse?"

@roberthendricks @elonmusk wants in an orderly way with proper security safeguards. Thing is, we are not sure what Musk is even doing...it is very likely he is hoovering up this data for an AI project, without permission as AI is wont to do. Not an "audit". And BTW, the data is clearly not secured.

@Vote4AnnMarie Thing is, the serious journalists are also leaving, esp. LA Times. These outlets are having serious credibility problems within their own professions. Personally I think local news is where it's at and where we should focus on granular issues.

@ChuckPfarrer With anyone in the US intelligence community, which under #FirstFelon won't be intelligent. Our allies can speak with him, and likely will.

@darryn_briggs And I would like to remind those that criticize RBG that had Marshall also worked until his dying breath, Clinton would have made the appointment, not Bush.
