Still not sure why SF6 or some modern Fighting games don't have "Replay Takeover" like in GG+r and Tekken 8, shouldn't it be so easy to do If your game already has 1) input history based replay 2) deterministic algorithm 3) game state save (for rewind)

About to burn out, screen away from JP, couldn't use regular drive rush, and looked like an easy chip kill for Kakeru. What did Ryukichi do? Whiff light normal into drive rush which lets you drive rush with a pixel of drive gauge, and he won. An EVO Japan moment.

Zangief option select to beat every Aki's wake-up options in the corner (4F, OD slide, SA1)
Because of how light chaining works in SF6, LP+LK right after a light button on block or hit count as the 2nd light button.

In SF6, You only need ➡️⬇️⬅️↖️⬅️➡️+P for lvl3 , you don't need the true ⬆️ and 2nd⬇️ to do Gief's lvl 3
With CPT SOCD, you can just press and hold ⬆️ after the first half circle.

Not only that it's easier to buffer SPD during DR freeze frames but since your input doesn't get eaten during freeze anymore, you can buffer ⬆️ first for a 720 motion and do ➡️⬇️⬅️⬇️➡️⬆️+ punch button while they still rushing and get LV3.

Zangeif's new stun combo. I think you can squeeze it a bit more with this route, maybe 2 drive rush and a micro walk to have enough meter for OD Lariat.

Jab jab SA is too easy with this method, let's try one jab SA instead. No extra brain power is required, basically do 236236 really quick. Work with neutral normal, walking forward normal, crouching normal, and probably walking back normal, too, like Guile's 4HPxxSA2.
A proof of concept for a new DI combo that uses 2 drive gauges + SA1 instead of 4 drive gauges, now I need a way to make the opponent float a bit higher without spending this much drive gauge.

Look cool, yes. But is it practical? Maybe, if you play Gief at least 4 hours a day, everyday. Probably the hardest tech in this game. Not to mention the low success rate. You'll never know when it fail because it look the same as guessing wrong on wake up.
But the SA2's recovery bug that happened when it hit late and has existed since launch is still there, I love being a Zangief player, Capcom cares a lot about me.

Now I know why. Because Charged HP has an extended hurtbox at Gief's lower leg at frame 10, so if you press HP too early, the dive kick's hitbox will hit the extended hurtbox before hitting the armor box.

Tips for leverless Zangief on how to do the new season 2 OD LariatxxSA3 combo the easiest way.
When doing the OD Lariat you can press UP and do 2 half circles (no need to press UP in the middle) then press UP+Punch at the end.

Good news for Zangief, no additional scaling when doing SA3 in a new combo, if my math is correct.
Normal SA3 dmg = 4800
At 90% is 4320
This combo does 500 (headbutt) + 4320 = 4820

Whiffed light normalxxDrive rush will change the starter point of the DR, in Zangief's LP case, it moves him forward and gets him in an SPD range when raw DR won't.

A new standing 720 shortcut on leverless (tight gap layout only).
Basically, combine the double slide tech (explained in the Youtube link below) with hold UP + SOCD (also explained in the tweet below), this allows me to do 720 motions in one swipe👏

I try this combo today in a rank match and forgot Modern Gief doesn't have the jump HP😦
Need at least +16 to combo into headbutt after jumping attack, but I could only get +15 from jump HK (modern Gief only jumping heavy attack with range)
For leverless/all-button Zangief, 8HP is pretty good for cross-up anti-air, press two buttons at the same time just like Lariat.
This clip was me training my reaction for multiple options, to see if 8HP is fast enough on reaction.

New Zangief optimal(?) meterless post-stun combo with oki. Do 3,150 instead of 3,110 from H SPD.
The setup: dash forward>dash backward but micro walk the fisrt ◀️ a bit, then the headbutt should be +8 on hit.

Me with regular ass Xbox One controller with 5 mins of practice time, and I already have a 90% success rate on both sides. Should they ban this one too?
This may be a hot take, but:
No. This should not be tournament legal as it is literally removing an intentional execution barrier. We can't go back in time & ban leverless before they became too widespread, but we can at least nip this shit in the bud
New (?) Zangief's optimal stun 2 bars combo and level 1 combo.
You don't need to walk back before Lariat, I do that for the bonus drive gauge, Lariat immediately after landing, and hold forward to get the same combo.

Anti "OD DP after opponent cancel into DR on block" tech.
Normally Gief can't block OD DP after LKxxDR but 2LK after DR is a true block string and if Guile (or any "down-up reversal" char) try to do DP they will standing up and eat the low, lost charge, too.

Quick-cancel RRC combo might give you a bit more damage (it's scaling less than PRC, somehow), but you can drift forward a bit longer in PRC and connect some combo that quick-cancel RRC can't.

Ok, this is too funny, but you're kinda right, Gief needs only one UP but he still needs 7 directional inputs, so instead of UP at the end, you can do whatever direction you want, look at how Gief vibrates before LVL3, LMAO.

I think it is their intentions to make it harder to react because parry exist in this game, the mind game is a bit different from SFV, and you deserve to get mix in burnout.
