In August I started walking a lot two days a week and changed my eating habits. So far I’ve walked 80+ miles and have lost 30lbs. I really didn’t want to do it today, cold, drizzly but I got another 3.25 miles in. My goal is at least -50lbs.

This is why I can't trust Adobe Illustrator. Snapping is on but and it acts like it works. But zoom in 7500 and you see this. Ugh! Such a basic feature that you simply cannot trust. It's approaching ten years and the Ai team is still ignore this bug.

Leaving MAX today. My overall takeaway, you’ll see a lot more crappy vector art moving forward. The ‘Text to Vector’ generative ai feature should be titled ‘Text to Clip-Art.’ All the reels you’ll be seeing hyping it won’t scrutinize the unoriginal and poor craftsmanship.

I created 18 design directions for a client. Their committee couldn’t make a decision, so they had someone else submit a design and loved it. It made me feel like a failure. Then I see the chosen design on Instagram, and it’s horse shit. Now I don’t feel bad at all.

Corrupt ai file? Try this:
- Move ‘file_name.ai’ to desktop
- Drag on to Apple Preview icon and open
- Once fully displayed, do a 'Save As' PDF
- Drag Apple Preview created PDF on to Ai app icon
- Once open all your layers will be retained
- Save as a native ai file
File fixed.

This is for ALL design programs: If you teach Illustrator ban the use of generative AI in your class assignments and teach your students how to create their artwork from scratch. Don’t be lazy. Make them appreciate craftsmanship and the process of creating original ideas.

Small biz in Texas used my design for their logo. I talked to the owner, guess what type of biz sold him the stolen art?...wait for it...sign shop. So I told him I'd call them tomorrow and tell them to refund him or I file an infringement against the sign shop.

In June someone emailed me showing me a company who took my art, changed it and used it on all their products, shirts, race car, semi truck etc. I tried to reason with them, but they said I didn't own the copyright. Guess what .gov just mailed me? Now the fun begins.

In Adobe Illustrator they have 'Butt Cap', 'Round Cap' and 'Projecting Cap' to cap off stroke ends. In 2019 I proposed a new one they could call 'Soft Cap'? Also make it possible to use two different caps on one stroke.
