Out of 20 trading days ... my active days are only Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. So means 12 days and rest 8 are passive whereby I sell strangles and hold them... 80% of profit comes in those 12 days... So as u say

See the CE OI increasing and suddenly the cumulative OI began to drop around 2.10. But sensex was flat at 66100... and then the fall happened at 2.40.

Here is a simple trade of butterfly, RR is fav once you get decent spike in premium plus the wings should be placed at optimum strikes to keep blue line in check... Most of the times, they will give money over 0.5% and if close near to sold strike it may be over 4%..

These two tools are more than sufficient to gauge the possible direction of the index. In first the CEs premiums never went in -ve zone and in second the cum OI remains above zero line indicates upmove for the time being. Second half will be interesting.

The modified Ce condor is giving ok returns, although still in between the profit zone, range is too low.... small adjustments done.... SL if 8k profit..... if dips below that i will close..

Trying a typical Batman for expiry... Although i like dragonfly more buy last two expiry were somewhat very tough for dragonfly. So switched to a typical batman to capture 1 to 2%... Lets see not expecting any major gap up or down.

These positions can't be done with 3lac in Zerodha. In zerodha u need to have capital of 15 lac to actually get this done. But yes it's quite possible in any other broker as Zerodha won't allow more than 400 points range, so the trick is to use buy kegs first & then selling legs

There is something called as hedging and i mean proper hedging or some strategies where risk and rewards is defined. I had a PE condor with max loss at 385 /set & reward was around 3800 per set... Problem comes with naked shorting....

No difference , thoda maths kar lo.... The lot size increases and so do margins... At least try to read things before copy pasting . Right now Nifty lot size is 25 with selling margin as 70k/lot.... Increase to 125 &margin increase to 3.5lac so still selling 5 lots as we do now.

If we sell deep OTM strangles ... lets say BNF CE and PE of Rs10/- which will become 0 on expiry day ...I dont think it requires all the factors you quoted... these jargans are best used to discourage small retailers...
