@NoContextBrits How random this popped up! I was just teaching Anglo-Saxon place names in History this afternoon! Thatcham - the village where I grew up which is believed to be one of the oldest inhabited settlements in the country.

@mumderbyshire @thereadingpara I love Vinted. I’ve made quite a lot whilst trying clear out my wardrobe. And good to see the official offer tool does limit offers. This was someone messaging me to ask if I’d sell them for £12 so I get why they messaged rather than using the offer button.

@Catreeeena @thereadingpara That explains why it was a message rather than the usual button to accept or decline the offer 😂 I was too stunned to even reply! What planet are people on? It’s like when I list stuff for £2 that’s new and unused but I just need to get rid and they try and argue over pence!

Quite impressed that we managed to pull this off in less than hour as part of our whole school culture day today! They turned out really cute!

@MrHtheteacher Good luck. We were done in November and it was nowhere near as bad as I expected! Think of the relief at Xmas knowing it’s over!

Xmas party ready! There was already hardly anyone coming but a couple have dropped out due to illness so it could just be me and my boss our our premises officer 😂 Having to drink all the preordered cocktails…. I’m getting fired, aren’t I?!

What a day! Xmas jumpers, Nativity, Xmas dinner, visit from Santa, Xmas party for golden time and trying to squeeze in some writing of relative clauses, learning column multiplication and finishing our wire sculptures! My outfit has the most compliments today though 😂

@JoeBarnesMoran1 @NCETM @SarahFarrellKS2 @MrMJEllis @MrBoothY6 @DeputyGrocott The PD materials were written as subject knowledge guides to support teachers. They weren’t originally written as ‘planning materials’ but they kind of morphed in to being used that way. The aim was to upskill teachers through the guidance not just be used off the shelf.

@JoeBarnesMoran1 @NCETM @SarahFarrellKS2 @MrMJEllis @MrBoothY6 @DeputyGrocott No, we use Maths No Problem but I work with my local maths hub as a TfM specialist and we had a look at some of the Oak materials on one of our regional training days last year. Like every scheme it gives a starting point but would need tweaking for the needs within a class.

@JoeBarnesMoran1 @NCETM @SarahFarrellKS2 @MrMJEllis @MrBoothY6 @DeputyGrocott The Oak Academy maths lessons have started to be aligned with the NCETM material so may be more non-specialist teacher friendly as a starting point for planning.

@clairelbills @TeacherTapp I’m Primary and in my 17 years, I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had a TA. I’ve managed my job without support so I opted for the pay rise. 20% is massive when cost of living is ridiculous. And like someone said, you don’t really miss what you’ve never had.

@Hannah_Digest In my 17 years of teaching, I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had a TA. So I chose the pay rise. I can get by without a TA as I’ve had to many times but 20% is a lot of money so I opted for that!
