My dad just came up to me and said, “This is your house, don’t you forget that.” He’s voice started breaking, then full blown crying then he hugged me. That made my night.
My mom called me if I wanted to stay with them for a couple of days. I do, but my homophobic dad is not going to make things easy. I don’t want to stay alone either because I feel like I’m going crazy and need to be around my family. It’s a complicated situation.

My mom come to the U.S. when she was 17 years old with not an ounce of English. This woman as sacrificed so much for me and my siblings. Today she received her GED, and I’ve never been so proud of her 💕 Love you mom!

Two weeks ago I came to the realization that I won’t be graduating this semester. I came in with 18 credit hrs, lost my job, online transition wasn’t easy, and navigating new emotions. But it’s ok, I did what I could. I’ll be graduating summer of 2020. Fingers crossed ❤️
