Yes, they’re all mine. I drive an embarrassing vehicle. Fighting the good fight in New Jersey.

@libsoftiktok @Northshore_SD Please explain to me why we can’t have cameras in classrooms yet. A girl I went to school with sexually assaulted in a classroom. So many students—special needs in particular—are in classrooms alone with one other adult. This isn’t acceptable for any childcare settings—churches,.

@JamesAFurey I was fighting for an IEP for my daughter until the head of a tutoring center convinced me to let it go. Her selling point was the absurdity of modified tests and then sending them off to college thinking they’d be ok.

@NateSilver538 Watching the attempt on his life was an inflection point for many. Maybe not in love with Trump, but hey, we don’t want an America that looks like this. There’s gotta be something better. We don’t want the world at war.

@AlexBerenson @JoeBiden A loving wife wouldn’t have allowed it. Public disgracing of your husband—most women try to avoid.

@educatedandfree “Abuse” is being attached to everything. It immediately shuts the other person down because you look like a jerk if you argue. What’s more, every child meltdown is being called a “panic attack.” Do they happen? Yes. But is it a psychological trauma every time you get upset? No.

@TheAstuteDon @libsoftiktok Legitimate question I am asking myself. Honestly, screaming helplessly for more help is better than watching that. Running in vain to find an extinguisher is also a better look.

@AlexBerenson I feel legitimately horrible that a parent could be so deceived as to agree to a trial like this.

@bethanyshondark My kids just went back yesterday. “Mom, we watched Toy Story to study friendship.” . Me: What?! . Kids: “Well, we had to take notes.”.

@WallStreetMav Even my Spanish Lit class was taught by a woman bent on disparaging conservatism. Just teach the content.

@OneBadDude_ @hodgetwins Same. And I don’t mean from her. Bystanders should be yelling for an extinguisher.

@JamesAFurey Can we address flexible seating? Watching kindergarteners wobble around while trying to learn to read but also not crack their heads open…Obviously can be OK for certain times of the day, but it’s a significant distraction in almost every classroom I see on a weekly basis.

@Cernovich I don’t understand how no one cares about STDs anymore. Pregnancy is *solved* by abortion. But what about the ick factor of disease? HIV/AIDS used to be scary.

@FixingEducation Can I also add that I think members of the BOE in each district should be required to come in and observe one day a year? Many have no idea of the scope of behavioral issues teachers are facing and how that’s affecting every classroom. May have them rethink budgets.

@ClayTravis @espn The irony is, it’s actually great tv they should be clamoring for. If not for moral reasons, air it out of financial self-interest.

@MrDanielBuck Excellent article. I used to email to request teachers, but after subbing in my kids’ elementary school, I changed my end-of-year email to the principal: Please put my children in peaceful classrooms. Which is code for—don’t put them with the crazies that are destroying entire.

@Beanie0597 Rigorous education can’t be restored until discipline is restored—which, of course, starts at home. I know many teachers who can’t even think about “fun” because there are one or two students destroying the classroom dynamics for everyone else. I’m not exaggerating. “Least.

@tedcruz It would certainly send a message to the world at a time when it is most needed. America doesn’t protect abusers.

@MrDanielBuck It doesn’t help that many parents are pushing their kids into AP/Honors just to escape the horrendous behaviors in “regular” classes. And I don’t blame them. Kids who should be in a specialized school are not, so voila, everyone moves up to get away from them.

@nypost The government’s stupidity encapsulated in one bill. Even Murphy is against it—that’s saying something.

@sage_stage It’s such a shame. Teachers are juggling too much that you can’t even focus on methods. It’s how to survive the day.

@AlexBerenson Everyone should visit a NJ public school for a day. Something is deeply wrong. And, no, there weren’t this many autistic children and we just didn’t realize it because they were in special schools as our pediatrician says.

@elonmusk In light of all of the abuse and consequential lawsuits with the Catholic Church (as well as Protestant entities), I just don’t understand how sexual abuse can be covered up in the modern era. Mandate reporting.

@Cernovich And the professors are pressured to give good grades to kids who can barely speak English. They’re the only full-paying students there. The subject matter is difficult enough, and now add that you’re not fluent in the language. Professor friends struggling with what to do with.

@wil_da_beast630 On a positive note, if you are a man that is chivalrous and dresses appropriately, you stand out in an awesome way. I was at Aldi corralling six kids in line and a man told me it was “common courtesy” to let him go in front of me. Miss the days of women and children first.

@JamesAFurey Let the kids draw their own conclusions through natural classroom discussions. I let my students pick a “controversial” topic for a different assignment. One student chose abortion on his own and then proceeded to be in total shock about what it actually was. I stayed ten feet.

@bethanyshondark They dangle, “I want to be financially stable first”—which is code for: I’m waiting to see if a better option comes along. Women need to love themselves enough to have and keep a high standard. You are worth more than that.

@NateSilver538 @ArmandDoma There’s also something to be said about the large text and images at the local convenience stores. I know papers are dying, but it’s still there, for now.

@sage_stage If only “C” still meant average. “If you give out grades like this, you won’t last here,” says one Mom. Well, your daughter is average. Sorry. Or her work is. Or maybe both.

@BowTiedTiger I can’t get over spending hundreds of dollars on one kid every month to do dance, or any other activity. Outsourced at all hours.

@edudissenter It’s akin to cities like NYC saying crime is down. People don’t report if they know no one is coming and no one cares. Had a student throw his chair down, shove his desk at another student, run out of the classroom and slam the door. No one cares. Just an emotional outburst.

@cb_doge The biggest obstacle for me is that my parents won’t get smart phones. Now that Tucker is off Fox News, their only source of truth is gone. I just tell them everything I’m seeing on X to keep them in the loop.

@Cernovich In the world of mandated reporting of sexual abuse, people fear liability for cover-ups. Churches are getting walloped with settlements and lawsuits. The state of New Jersey was ordered to pay one woman almost 7 million in 2024 for sexual abuse in the foster care system.

@Savethedmagic Also, nostalgia is powerful. That’s why Peter Pan sometimes inexplicably has insane wait times. Even the “old” attractions give new generations a feel for what it was like in yesteryear. There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow….

@Cernovich Good reminder when playing the comparison game. Ironically, even with plastic surgery, people still look old. And instead of old and wise or old and happy, they just look old and dumb.

@hillbillythings With each kid, I’ve detested them more and more. I can’t imagine cleaning up after one more living thing. I chalked it up to growing up with too many (5) dogs that took over our lives. But perhaps my patience for all breathing things is just maxed 😂.

@JohnStossel But can we make a transition plan for those workers who’ve been there for years already? Grandfather some into a program that equips and hires them at the same pay? Many of them are veterans.

@JamesAFurey As a parent of many children, I’m constantly second-guessing my school choice. Private schools=$$$; Home School=Extremely difficult with many children and also tiring; Public School=Declining quality of education + cultural battles. Most of us are doing the best we can.

@AlexBerenson It’s really out of control. We’re getting 1 inch and they cancelled school. Where’s the NJ grit? The inferiority complex has gotten to us. Nothing left but a shell.
