@TahirPeerzada_ This so-called forced labor was rescinded by Maharajas themselves. This system existed since the rule of Sultan Zain-ul-Abidin, multiple rulers like the Mughals, afghans continued the system. Hindus including sepoys of the Dogra army were also the victims.

August 14, 1993, marks a somber day in the history of J&K, as the Kishtwar massacre claimed the lives of 17 innocent Hindu bus passengers, including women and children, in the Sarthal area of Kishtwar district. The objective of such massacres was repeat 1990 ethnic cleansing.

It's the 3rd time, Deewan Mandir, main road Bakshi Nagar opp PR Hotel, Jmmu looted in the last year. around 2pm last night, a car came 4-5 people destroyed temple locks, and took 2 Daan Patra with them! Mandir is on the main road, safety is in threat but no action taken #jammu
