@WSMFP73 @1980y8 @laboyzz @ZaidJilani How about audits? Real audits? The kind that were regularly carried out? Would that do?

@KenosisGrace @caringguy1957 @matt_vanswol @DOGE How is outrage about spending millions and millions of tax-payer money "rich man bad talking points"?

@Lincoln_Cog @kyledcheney There's a suggestion in this article that the amount the US government may owe as a result of breach of contract suits and violation of the Prompt Payment Act may be considerable:

@vincelauro @samstein It has long been a requirement at USAID to vet contractors and subcontractors so that no resources of any kind fall into the hands of terrorists.

@vincelauro @samstein My point with the screen capture is: "why are you randomly asking me to point at $40 billion of humanitarian assistance?" And what does this have to do with your original question about counter-terrorism vetting?

@WalteroDimRF @samstein @JoshKraushaar So you're changing the topic? Listen, that's the whole "soft power," not wanting to create a void for China to step into, "we live in this world whether we like it or not and a destabilized, conflict-ridden world is not good for us" argument. Look it up. It makes sense

@vincelauro @samstein You seem to be asking random questions with no connection to the ones before, and this one doesn't even make sense. Why $40 billion? I don't think humanitarian assistance is that large. Here are the 2023 percentages:

@WalteroDimRF @samstein @JoshKraushaar Wouldn’t the best way to make sure that the Aid is used for humanitarian purposes and doesn’t go to terrorism be to vet the recipients?

@vincelauro @samstein To make sure that none of the resources get into the hands of terrorists.

@steve_hannaffin @joshrogin I’m saying, tell us about them. Who are they, what’s this information about the 500 K salaries? And how is this relevant to food aid and waivers?

@steve_hannaffin @joshrogin Tell us about them. Who are they and what do they have to do with this?

@ItIsHoeMath So you’re saying that this reflects the extremely unrealistic views that boys are encouraged to have of themselves?

@DrInsensitive @instapundit Surely you understand that you’re not doing justice to the concept of the NAXALT Fallacy? That fallacy comes into play when some idiot pulls out a single exception in response to a claim like “x tends to corrupt y.” Your claim was “government money corrupts everything it touches”

@hubermanlab @delecto1234 @NIH So basically, you’re warning us that within a few years progress in this area will slow down, with its foundation in new basic exploratory research eroding? That seems kind of concerning.

@DrInsensitive @instapundit My life experience tells me that claims such as this ("x always corrupts y") are highly suspect, and also that claims about corruption are often slung around wildly, with the term very loosely defined, so I'll decline to take your word for it.

@DrInsensitive @instapundit Okay, so we have to take your claim that government money corrupts everything it touches on faith?
