New brain-penetrant anti-glioblastoma therapeutic approach. Latest study from the Stella lab reporting the molecular mechanism of ST-401, our most promising compound. Using live cell microscopy, we discovered that ST-401 kills cancer cells in interphase!

Internationally recognized pioneer in ion channel research William A. "Bill" Catterall @UWPharmacology @uwsomwwami @UWMedicine has died at age 77. In addition to his outstanding discoveries in his field, he was a mentor to many other scientists.

Exciting work out today—lead by Simar Singh of the @StellaLab11—in @CannabisJrnl! They pharmacologically characterize a potent 2-AG sensor, GRABeCB2.0, that can monitor endocannabinoid levels in real-time. Congratulations to all authors!
Our 1st paper on the 2-AG sensor, GRABeCB2.0, is online. We developed a high-through assay &showed that 2-AG increases GRABeCB2.0 signal with potencies similar to its potency at CB1R, that THC activates this sensor, and that CBD negatively inhibits it.
