is a non-venomous snake, so it can't poison its prey. It doesn't even have fangs. However, you should know that it has needle-like teeth that it uses to immobilize its prey and then wrap around it and slowly constrict until the animal dies.

. The vigilant residents noticed the cub and immediately alerted the officials of

.
The jewel in Western Uganda's crown is Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda's medley of wonders 🇺🇬. It is home to the Big 3; Lion, Leopard, & African Elephant. It hosts a plethora of birds due to its rich habitats.

Ostritches are flightless due to the structure of their breastbones (sternums). Unlike flying birds which have curved sternums that allow them to take flight. Ostriches are heavy, with small wings and and their sternums are flat, which means they stay grounded.
Today, we successfully rescued a African Rock Python (Timba) from a fish pond in Lutaba village,Ssasi subcounty, near Kawuku off Entebbe road.The reptile was entangled in fishing net.A marsh terrapin has also been rescued from the same place and a conservation message passed on.
We are delighted to welcome the largest member of the cat family, the tiger, back to Uganda.
Seeing, hearing, and smelling a tiger up close for the first time can be an unforgettable experience which, for Ugandans, is only possible at the Entebbe Zoo.

call it a dog 🐶 😊. Some think it is a fox or a wolf. Others say, it looks like a cross between a German shepherd & a fox. The Side- stripped jackal is found in all 4 savanna national parks and the montane forests of Bwindi & Mgahinga National Park.
A tiger has small, sharp, thorn-like structure called papillae; These are are small, hard hooked bumps that cover the entire tongue👅. They make it so rugged & rough which helps it to read the flesh & feathers off their prey's body.

Human food can pose health risks to monkeys. Foods that are safe for humans may be harmful or toxic to them. Monkeys may also become bold & try to snatch food from people, which leads to potential bites or scratches. This behavior poses a risk to visitors & the animals.
The term "warthog" comes from the noticeable wart-like bumps on its face. These are not real warts but are made of bone and cartilage. The male, called a boar, has two pairs of these "warts," while the female, called a sow, has one pair.

Happy to announce the birth of a Plains's zebra foal. This one is an offspring of Papa "Hero" born at UWEC on 9/ June/ 2015 & Mama "Zaina". Mama & baby whose sex is yet to be identified are both doing well. The birth is a result of proper animal husbandry and welfare.
