The general vibe at the Universal Studios Great Britain consultation was overall incredibly positive. The execs in attendance said they have never had a response like it when exploring the possibility of a new park.
If you were there today, how did you find it?
Bedford Borough Council has written to the new Prime Minister to let him know that everyone is on board to get Universal Studios Great Britain approved.
The Universal UK Project site has been updated to include a new letter following the public consultation events, with an amazing 92% of local people in support of the project!
VERY interesting wording from the Universal UK project website FAQs.
“We are now carefully considering the feedback we received during the engagement period and preparing our planning submission.”
The Universal UK Project website has been updated to remove the feedback form and states “It will still be some time before any decisions are made on whether or not to proceed with the project”. It’s all in the hands of the theme park gods now 🙏
It’s obviously been well shared that Universal has the domain for , but they also have , registered on the same day.
Which one is likely to be the final name for this project?
A really productive meeting with Universal Studios going through: the results of the public consultation, local healthcare capacity, work taking place to address some of the points raised by residents, and the next steps to progress this exciting opportunity.

In April, May and June the Universal UK project site had new documents uploaded to it. Will July follow the monthly trend? There’s just 2 weeks left of the month to find out…
Am I the only one who doesn’t want Waterworld at Universal Studios Great Britain? It’s so cold for 6 months of the year that either actors would get hypothermia jumping into freezing water constantly or the plane would skid across ice and smash into the audience.
Comcast’s annual shareholder meeting takes place tomorrow. That would certainly be a great opportunity for them to let shareholders know about any future construction projects that might be happening…
With all the lands and rides for Epic Universe now announced, it’s just the opening date to go! Could they drop it around the time of the D23 parks panel to try and steal some of Disney’s limelight?
And then a USGB green light in September?!
A general election has been called for July 4th, and it’s likely the UK will have a new government. Will be interesting to see what impact this has on Universal Studios Great Britain. Presumably it won’t slow things down very much 🤞
In the event that Universal Studios Great Britain goes ahead, I’d like everyone in the Universal Creative team know that ‘Earl’ and ‘squirrel’ don’t actually rhyme.
Bon Iger said it ! “Shanghai is profitable, Hong Kong is profitable, Paris is profitable […] A lot more attractions will be built at Disneyland Paris Resort in the next 2-3 years.”

Sadly there hasn’t been an update to since 31st July. This is the longest the site has gone without an update since it launched. Hopefully more info on the project comes out soon, now there are just four months of 2024 left.
South of the Universal GB site is Stewartby brickworks, another huge parcel of disused land. But because it’s mostly landfill it’s unlikely Universal would consider it part of the expansion plans… at least in the short term.
There’s just one week left to give Universal your feedback on the Universal Studios Great Britain project. If you’d like to see it become a reality let them know!
Imagine how insanely busy it’ll be at parade or fireworks time in Magic Kingdom once Cars Land and Villains Land open. Adding more capacity to the world’s busiest theme park just seems nuts to me.
Got back to our Disney hotel and the roomed stank of weed. Told a cast member and they gave us a quick service dining voucher.
Do… do they think we have the munchies?
Apologies but while I’m in Orlando I’m basically going to be sharing theme park food pics. Here’s a ham and Swiss from Earl of Sandwich. I could happily bathe in that honey mustard sauce.
I know what AT is going for with ‘memorific’ but to me it sounds less like memory + terrific and more like memory + horrific which is a very different vibe

It’s easy to get over excited but it really does feel like the entire project is further along in development than they’re letting on
