URNU Bristol proudly supported the Royal Navy at @BmthAirFest, engaging with the public and assisting with Beating Retreat each evening. OCs also provided a naval presence. Thanks to NRCWWE, URNU Solent and the festival organisers for their support and opportunities.

Recently, OCs embarked on @HMSExpress visiting Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. During the voyage OCs learnt navigational rules, conducted man overboard drills and practiced using a Neil Robinson stretcher. Thank you HMS express for having us, it was an amazing trip!

URNU Bristol conducted its Pass Out Parade to honour the OCs completing their tenure with the unit. Commander Crosby presented the awards and shared insights from his notable naval career. We wish all departing OCs success in their careers and congratulate them on their triumphs.

Recently, URNU Bristol took on Bristol @uniairsquadron in a spectacular sports day featuring football, netball, cricket and volleyball! Everyone had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed the day!

Recently, 2 OCs attended the Jersey Boat Show on @HMS_Ranger and @HMSExpress, hosted the Governor onboard and gave public tours over the bank holiday weekend. They also explored Jersey’s WW2 tunnels, the beach and had the opportunity to explore Guernsey for several days.

OCs explored Gibraltar’s military history, touring WWII tunnels and modern vessels like HMS Scott. They experienced the Navy’s capabilities firsthand with HMS Dagger and watched the Gibraltar Squadron RIBs. Plus, scuba diving and a cable car ride made for an unforgettable trip!

OCs proudly joined the Lord-Lt of Bristol’s tree planting, marking a year since the King’s coronation. OC Echlin represented the unit for the planting and all represented the @RoyalNavy in Bristol. The oak will stand for many years as will the King’s reign. @PeachesTweets
