Delighted this week to welcome members of HMS Prince of Wales ship's company here at @BristolCouncil City Hall. Bristol, along with Liverpool, is affiliated with the ship,. I had the opportunity to meet with Captain Will Blackett and Commodore Kirkwood.

Bristol has reaffirmed its status as a 'City of Sanctuary' It was wonderful to collectively celebrate our city’s history and ethos of welcoming and supporting sanctuary seekers, and re-pledging our commitments to continuing this vital work.

On Friday we commemorated and celebrated the life of Dr Paul Stephenson OBE @BristolCathedra and @BristolCouncil Dr Stephenson was a towering figure of the British civil rights movement. May Dr Stephenson's legacy continue to inspire for generations to come.

Today we gathered @BristolCouncil City Hall to mark the Holocaust Memorial Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkeneau. The theme for HMD this year is 'For a Better Future' Thank you to @HMD_UK for organising this event.
