With ongoing hostilities along the Blue Line, the members of the
#SecurityCouncil
expressed their strong concerns after several
@UNIFIL_
positions came under fire in the past days. They urged all parties to respect the safety and security of UNIFIL personnel & UN premises.
The UK, France, Germany and Italy condemn the threats to UNIFIL’s security.
Attacks against UNIFIL must stop immediately. All parties have an obligation to protect peacekeepers.
Read our joint statement –

Sisters Yulduz and Fariba Hashimi grew up in Faryab, a remote Afghan province. When they trained, men would hurl abuse and throw stones at them.
They shone

Despite Israel’s commitment to flood Gaza with aid, fewer aid trucks were given access last month than at any point this year.
This is unacceptable.
Israel must ensure

Today we remember those who lost their lives in the horrific October 7 attacks and their loved ones. We condemn Hamas’ terrorism.
Palestinian civilians have also experienced unbearable suffering since.
A ceasefire deal can bring the hostages home and end this devastating cycle.
One year ago today, Hamas carried out the abhorrent October 7 attacks — which we unequivocally condemn.
I met families of those still being held in Gaza last week
