One of the biggest reasons hitters struggle with offspeed/breaking pitches is they try to slow down bat speed instead of lengthening the load/stride phase.
When you watch great hitters hit breaking balls, they adjust the move to maintain the bat speed

1/ Mid/away RHH 7-Ball Setup.
We do this drill for a number of reasons in our BP work.
A majority of the pitches Amateur hitters will see will be on the outer half.
Being able to barrel the mid/away to ALL fields (pull side incl.) gives our hitters a better approach in + count
