Contemplating just paying the scalped price for the 5080. Its 2x now but wouldnt shock me if we see 4x-5x at some point with it permamently out of stock until the next two major gen releases.

@shl It depends on when you start work. 5am-10am means you finish and have an entire day ahead of you. 9am-2pm means you never get to spend mornings with anybody again. Either way I think 5 hours and working daily would make me way more productive and better at what I do.

Interesting situation - if the probability remains this high then we will have to make a decision on preparing a deflection mission - which would be a good investment even if (as is most likely) we don’t need to use it this time. It’s as if the Universe has decided to do an experiment to see if Planet Earth is still capable of taking rational decisions!

In 5 years entry level requirements went from just needing to know how to center a div to DSA, Systems Design, Ai/ML as a minimum. Those calculus courses might actually start to matter.

Trying to build a PC since ive been out of one for 2 years. Went to microcenter. Line of 100+ scalpers in tents in the freezing cold 20 hours before it opens. GG maybe we try again in another few years i guess.
