@thesedgehog @rlockwood364 @SkyNews There had been no rain since May!!! This is not normal and if you care to read the works/writing of someone like James Hansen (or most other climate scientists) you will begin to understand the predicament we are in - and jolly Trump remedies will not help.

@thesedgehog @rlockwood364 @SkyNews I think you are are way off mark here. The outskirts of LA (Because that is where the fires have happened) is not forests. We know about forest fires - they do happen in Cal but mostly further north and they happen in Canada and sometimes even here in the UK.

@thesedgehog @rlockwood364 @SkyNews Well, well, well - 'Dig baby dig 'might seem a bad idea to those in Los Angeles right now when not bothering about how much we heat our world has resulted in burning, burning burning. Too difficult a concept for many, I know when snow is on their doorstep.

I can't wait to buy this. I could give it away to younger family members or just keep it to cheer me up in gloomy moments.

@_Bleam @TomLondon6 @brookebay21 This really is a very odd post. Who are the 'chattering classes'? And how did they lead soldiers? If I remember rightly - many of who you think of as the 'chattering classes' - Marched in protest against Tony Blair's stupid following of the US president to war.

@TomLondon6 Well I am not Tom, I am distraught by it: but being over 80 years old and not having a great deal of means, do not know what I can do other than be so, so sad. Please let me know what I can do to show I do not 'normalise' what is happening in Gaza.

@DrDaveCampbell @MichaelRosenYes But very few are ready to acknowledge these pretty clear forecasts. It will take a few more 'disasters' to make it into the mainstream consciousness.

@MarkHow80266608 @MichaelRosenYes @NASA A fact very few are ready to pay attention to. It has to drip down onto their heads before they acknowledge the reality that they are facing - sad really but human nature.

@MichaelRosenYes @triptothemoon That must be because you are nice Michael but it sounds like a 1960's pop song - probably sung by Doris Day.🤣🤣

@triptothemoon @MichaelRosenYes Noel Skum - sums up my opnion of this particular person. Sorry for the perfectly OK name of possible French origin, but there was the awful Noel Edmonds who already blighted this name. But Skum is unfortunately a must for this poor addled man.

@jonnybid @MichaelRosenYes I am sure that is the expensive jacket that Mr Rosen wore to the Stockport Children's Poetry Festival - attended by many primary aged children, their teachers and the Mayor of Stockport!!

@MichaelRosenYes What do these people think? believe? understand about their actions? Are they incapable of seeing how (trying to think of the word???) wicked(that word isn't right the one I mean begins with 'e') they are?

@ChristineBass3 You find that in many graveyards - a lot of people die. But being buried is rather strange now. Why clutter up the earth with old bones?

No need for the attribution. The song by the bear of very little brain is known across the nation on account of the film, not the book sadly. But you have accompanied it by aa lovely picture so many thanks.
