Didn't realise I needed to say but - horses aren't allowed on our trains, sorry folks.
I can confirm the horse has returned home, safe and sound.
CAUTION! Horse on the loose - last seen at Normanhorste.
Please keep an eye out at Neiiiiighbouring stations 🐴

A dinosaur sighting has led to delays to some services. What is believed to be a Carramarasaurus was spotted on a train, possibly making its way to Harrisic Park.
Please take care & listen to announcements as we work to resolve this issue.
⚠️ Some trains are running late across various lines this morning due to urgent track repairs at Central. Here is an image of the culprit.
Our team is on site and working to rectify this issue ASAP.
We thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding.
These photos give you some idea of what we're working with at the moment. Disruptions due to severe weather can have a flow-on effect across the whole network.

Since this cub-stomer showed up at Hornsby this afternoon, they've tested our Opawl machines, stayed behind the Yellow Lion and enjoyed the Mane Line from the front of a train 🚉

We’re sending out a huge thanks to station & train staff who've worked tirelessly this week! Despite difficult shifts there are amazing reports of staff returning forgotten wallets, locating lost children and accompanying elderly customers. They deserve a friendly wave today!
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Grant Goldman, who was the warm and reassuring voice of our automated announcements for more than a decade during the 90's and 2000's.
Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
LOST DOGGO - RIVERSTONE 🐶
Have you lost a 11/10 good girl in the Riverstone area?
This cutie was hanging out with our staff and just being the best ever, staying behind the yellow line and everything!
She's been taken to Quakers Hill Vet to try and organise a reunion ❤️
🐶 It was a ruff morning for pup Heidi who found herself out for a wander on the North Shore Line
After a little game of fetch, our new four legged friend was safely rescued from the tracks so that trains could be on their way
We thank you for your patience during this rescue🐾
The Tay Tay Express from Olympic Park ran smoothly last night. I think people were around later than they budgeted for, still big crowds as it got close to last train just before 1am.
Here's trains to Central, the westbound platform was just as busy.
Spot the Blink 182 fans.
At 6am, The Last Post rang out at stations across the network, to recognise the sacrifices made by so many men & women for their country

From Sunday all ‘portrait' style indicators at stations will show more info; now with the next train & following two stopping services.
This upgrade is based on your feedback & is great news at stations with very frequent services or where multiple lines share the same platform.
⚠️ Trains are not running due a train communication issue affecting the whole network.
Please use alternate travel options where possible.
We expect this to continue into afternoon peak services, updates to follow.

Happy 112th Birthday to our Central Station.
On this day in 1906, Central Station was officially opened by Premier Carruthers.
Central has a rich and interesting history.

Here are some pictures of just how close this hatch was to 1500 volts of overhead wiring today.
It appears that something has struck this hatch prior to arriving at Town Hall. We're investigating.
As you can understand, we needed to isolate the power before starting repairs.
Our response crews have been working hard over the Christmas break to assess the

Well our little circular green friends, it’s been real - but from April 30, you no longer need to spend the commute snuggled closely into our backside…
Thanks for the memories 🟢
We had a visitor at Hurlstone Park today! 🐢
Old mate, (Let's call him Donatello) was found just outside the station trying to board a train... probably to Shellharbour Junction...
Thankfully, he was returned safely to his habitat to continue fighting crime & munching on pizza 😁
Today we pause to pay our respects to all affected on the 45th anniversary of the worst rail disaster in Australia’s history 🌹
On Jan 18 1977, 84 people died and 213 were injured when a train derailed near Granville station, causing a bridge to collapse onto two carriages.

Hi Natalie, last we heard the dog was collected by a City of Sydney ranger and thankfully because it was microchipped it will be reunited with its owner. :) 🐶 We never did manage to find his Opal card though!
Our Speno ultrasonic testing train detected this crack in the rail at Town Hall this morning, preventing it from resulting in a much more serious broken rail. Crews are hard at work and expect to have the crack repaired soon. We appreciate your patience
Crews have been working hard after a track maintenance vehicle derailed this morning at Circular Quay

You may have noticed a tribute to Tony B at the end of yesterday's episode of Inside Central Station.
Tony B passed away earlier this year - a devastating loss for our railway family. Tony was a much loved and incredibly popular employee across the whole of Sydney Trains.
Severe weather conditions continue to affect infrastructure across the network, with trees in overhead wiring & on tracks, power issues, signal equipment repairs, flooding and landslips
Defer any non-essential travel; if you must travel - allow plenty of extra time
