Conical Projection: Maps onto a cone, useful for mid-latitude regions, minimizing distortion

Steinitz Goby and Tiger snapping shrimp are best friends!🐟🦐
The snapping shrimp digs the dwelling cave, while the goby guards the entrance. When the goby signals there's no predator nearby, the shrimp brings out the rubble. In case of danger, both flee into the cave.

I captured this vase sponge in Varadero, Cuba.
Vase sponges grow very slowly, only a couple of millimeters per year. Some species are believed to live for hundreds or even thousands of years!
