I am a teacher, a former FBI agent, and former CIA officer. NO I do not want to be armed and yes I have had a significant amount of training in firearms and feel comfortable around them. Using a firearm is not in the teaching job description, nor should I be. Period.
I've received about a dozen emails from teachers, all saying the idea of arming them for classroom defense is delusional. Obviously this is a self-selected group, but has anyone asked whether, nationally, teachers want to be armed, or do they only want to teach?
Those advocating for single entry and egress point at schools have clearly never heard of the fatal funnel, a tornado threat, a fire in a school building, etc.

2) uvalde officers had undergone ALERRT training. They knew what to do if keys were not available and what to do did not include hanging out in the hallway for 70+min
Breaking: Republicans have unanimously voted to promote Marjorie Taylor Greene to the Homeland Security Committee. Greene previously suggested 9/11 was faked.
Hey Tennessee, 17 year teacher here, former CIA officer and FBI special agent. Teachers should not carry concealed weapons in schools. Period. Here are my thoughts as to why.
ALERRT training is Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training and provides many police departments with active shooter training across the US. Uvalde PD had undergone their training
In 2017 I wrote that Trump would use the national security apparatus for his own personal and political gain. Case in point, item 1a on the FBI’s list of seized docs “info re: President of France.”
"We have new reporting on an explosive story on the tensions building inside the biggest criminal investigation in U.S. history: We are, of course, talking about the FBI's probe into the January 6th attack..." -

It’s ok to be against a war. I didn’t support the Iraq war. But you know what I didn’t do, leak classified docs from the scif I worked in. Zero sympathy for him. Zero.
The mishandling of HCS information, puts human lives in danger. It also undermines the five eyes agreement, joint cooperation in signals intelligence with US, UK, NZ, AUS, CA. Why would they share intelligence with us, when they can’t be guaranteed it will be kept safe?
My grandpa was a medic on the beaches of Normandy. Here is his pristine uniform, ammo box, mini Torah, hundreds of patches he collected, and a partial Nazi belt that I wish I would have asked him how he got. I’m so proud to be his granddaughter and am grateful for his service
Lately, I’ve been honored to provide nat sec/law enforcement analysis on national networks. I’m introduced as former CIA officer and FBI SA. Many folks tell me that I’m making it up. Is it because I’m a female? Is it because serving in both is rare? It’s deeply hurtful.
@NoLieWithBTC
I think referring to it as “training school” was perhaps the give away. It’s called Quantico, I know this because I was a FBI agent. Also, it’s a crime to impersonate a federal officer
I cannot understand how authorities are surprised that two parents who seem to have blamed everyone else for everything bad around them, are on the run.
@JSCulver
Arredondo. He straight says it in the report. He went into room 110. Saw there were no kids (they were at recess) never bothered to check room 111 and 112 and told everyone it was a barricade situation and there were no kids

I’m a former FBI agent, I am incredibly familiar with guns. I also taught high school for 15 years. Here are my thoughts on why teachers shouldn’t carry

Andrew Tate, and alleged pedophile and human trafficker, should not be given any type of platform. Nothing he has to say is “interesting”
To be brutally honest, when congress decided nothing needed to be done after 5-7 year olds were killed, then again nothing after 9-10 year olds were killed, nothing will be done
We can not let shooting massacres become mere blips on our radar screens. Demand change: 10 dead in shooting in Monterey Park, Calif.; gunman on the run

I live in Texas. My daughter will be in 3rd grade next year. Why is she being trained in the things myself and my colleagues used on the battlefields of Afghanistan.
He had his own YouTube channel at 10, posted homophobic cartoons at 12, changed his name at 16, threatened to blow up his neighborhood at 20/21, yet was able to purchase as many weapons as he pleased……
The thing I like most about this picture, is that it shows folks who may not be familiar with classified docs, just how much you CANNOT confuse them with non classified docs because of the way they are labeled……
I never have the words for 9/11, guilt is top of mind. There are too many complex emotions for me to articulately voice them. I probably also just don’t want to “go there” Being in the counterterrorism center at CIA on that moment was surreal. This flag has the names of all who
Adding the charge of hate crimes in this case was long overdue. The new federal charges are in addition to charges the trio are already facing in Georgia

What some may not know, is that I sued the school. After my psychologist called CPS on this teacher on my behalf while I was in her office, the school made my life a living hell. I told them I was not letting my daughter come back, but I still had a job to maintain
Not sure why I haven’t shared this, but here goes! CIA officers (retired or resigned) are not considered veterans, and aren’t provided with benefits similar to what vets get at the VA. I found this to be problematic, regarding mental healthcare. On a whim, I emailed my senator
@FrankFigliuzzi1
To me, this is about why he refused to give back the boxes he did. I’ve never felt it was about him simply having a disregard for classified material. He purposely didn’t give back this batch, for a reason
An FBI informant infiltrated the KKK in Florida, helped foil 2 murder plots, and said white supremacist groups infiltrated law enforcement at the state, county and city levels. “It is more prevalent and consequential than any of them are willing to admit.”
I agree. I’ve tried to temper my expectations regarding the questioning, but have Counterintelligence involved signals, at least to me, that this is not merely an obstruction case.
Significant. DOJ’s head of Counterintelligence is handling questioning of Trump super PAC chief. Unlikely this is just about obstruction: Multiple witnesses subpoenaed in Florida in Trump Mar-a-Lago case | Donald Trump | The Guardian
Today is the 28th anniversary of the OKC bombing, claiming the lives of 168 people. 28 years since McVeigh committed this act of domestic terrorism, yet still no federal domestic terrorism charging statute
The FBI is not perfect. But during my time there and at CIA, I was always impressed with how apolitical it was. Any politicalization I see now, is because it was manufactured by politicians to fit their own narratives
I also want to say this this is only my loved experience. I have met some incredible agents since my departure and I do not think that all agents are like this.
Well friends, I cried on national TV today. The body can video had just come in (I did not include it here), this was my raw reaction I guess. Thank you

NEW: Media reporting that the 22-year-old Colorado Springs mass shooting suspect is the grandson of California State Assemblyman Randy Voepel - a San Diego-area Republican who made headlines in 2021 after comparing January 6 to "Lexington and Concord.”
@BrianEntin
This actually tells me a lot about who he is. He’s actually challenging the officer. Then sarcastically tells her that the best thing would be to back up. This insinuates a lack of respect of authority and an immense ego
The target indeed wasn’t the government, but the owner of Crocus is Aras Agalarov. A staunch Putin advocate, billionaire oligarch and liaison between Trump and Putin. Part of me wonders if this was a group that opposed oligarchs and Crocus is a symbol of that. But truly just
I’ve seen video of the attack in Moscow on Telegram. Too brutal to display here. Innocent civilian lives lost. Planned. Trained. Significant that the target wasn’t government: Dozens of casualties reported after attack on Russian concert hall via

Even more so when just one month later, a student came to me who worked in the after care program, and stated that she didn’t know what to do because an “influential” employee at the school’s daughter, strangled another little girl. I told her I would help her speak to the head
All of this happened a bit ago, nothing has changed. And I’m not convinced it will. If nothing good comes from 1/6, perhaps it will be a significant change in the culture around law enforcement itself. That’s where it starts
@calebparke
Well, in the entirety of the time I had a TS/SCI clearance and handled those docs, no one came for me. Why? Because I didn’t steal them or willingly hold onto them. Seems pretty simple
knowingly sharing classified information does not make you a whistle blower, it makes you a traitor. Whistleblowers should certainly be protected, but he is not a whistleblower
Exclusive: An FBI agent who House Republicans said was a whistleblower has been suspended by the bureau because internal investigators concluded that he leaked classified information to Project Veritas, a bureau official says.
@AccountableGOP
Mr. Walker, I’d like to introduce you to 18 U.S. Code § 912 - Officer or employee of the United States. Impersonating a federal officer is punishable by no more than 3 years in jail. Sincerely, a former FBI Agent

I am a Jew. My great grandmother came to the US from Ukraine. I love my religion and I love Israel, that does not mean I have to agree with everything that Israel does. I wholeheartedly agree with you, they need to pick a side
I joined the FBI to preserve our democracy, not destroy it. I’ve had my differences with the bureau, but all I worked with there had the same philosophy as I. This is deeply disturbing
A week after 1/6, a person familiar with FBI operations informed a top bureau manager that “there is…a sizeable percentage of the employee population that felt sympathetic to the group that stormed the Capitol.” with

I taught at public schools in both California and Texas with valid teaching licenses. When I was hired by this private school in 2010, I maintained my license until 2015 when I let it lapse as most teachers at private schools do not have a state license, rather masters degrees
@MollyJongFast
Dude needs a little history lesson, I guess he forgot about the Tuskegee experiment and the sterilization of Nativr American women, all of which occurred after after we signed the Nuremberg Charter……
Seeing this being reported on news outlets so would like to correct. There are 3 levels of classification: Confidential, Secret, and TS. There is nothing “above” TS. There are compartmentalized programs within each classification level that require special access to obtain.
The DOJ is opposing the release of the affidavit because the probable cause used to obtain it implicates highly classified materials. Let that sink in for a sec. I stand by what I wrote in 2017, that Trump is a national security threat
I’d like to thank

I made our daughter sleep with us because I was worried about her freezing to death. I never want to feel that way again and I worry about those that Do not have access to warm clothes and blankets

left the CIA not because of some disagreement or dissatisfaction, but because I didn’t want to be overseas anymore. I would work counterterrorism stateside, at the FBI. I had never been disciplined during my time at the CIA, it was all positive.
I was also told by the supervisor at the time, that he didn’t believe I worked at the CIA. “Why would they hire someone that looked like me”. That there was no way I served where I did and I was making it up. remember the bureau did a background check and had to come to CIA
I loved the work I did at the bureau, but, the behavior continued. It followed me from quantico. Despite being told I was doing a “hell of a job” the sexual harassment raged on. One day, I quit
Growing up, I never knew that females had careers in the CIA and FBI. I always felt this was a superficial statement, but now I understand it, after finding this on my desk today. Representation matters. Part of why I do this is so that can women see themselves in these jobs.
I held a TS/SCI clearance under two different presidents of two different parties and worked in a SCIF. I would have fully expected the DOJ to investigate me under either administration for mishandling that information. This isn’t partisan, American national security is at risk.
@SarahisCensored
I’m a former FBI agent, turned teacher and notified my school that I worked at about concerns I had. They didn’t terminate the teacher, he’s not serving 20 years for child porn charges. There is more to this story
This may have been the cowardly way out, but I don’t see it that way. It led me to teaching, where I can try to change this narrative through education.
@TonyGonzales4TX
Now would be a good time to remind your constituents that you oppose all types of background checks for all types of guns sales………….if children are such a gift, why not protect them?
I was challenged in every way for kicks at quantico. Meanwhile people were being placed into my class from previous classes because they accidentally shot themselves on the range or became sick on PT. I never did, yet they singled me out hoping I’d give up. I didn’t.
With all due respect, kindly go away. I’ve taken anti depressants for decades. I’m certainly not violent, neither are hundreds of thousands of Americans who take them. This rhetoric is the problem (amongst other things)
When my grandpa suddenly died about 3/4 of the way through training, being Jewish I had to go home right away for the burial. A person in my class also had a grandparent pass and he was able to go home, why wouldn’t I.
On my first day, a colleague asked me if I knew who the Vice President was because he didn’t know. I laughed. He had been there longer than I, he was kidding. This is a government org. You should know. He didn’t
